Jungle lord is supposed to turn the gi off when a ball gets into one of the 2 saucers, and turn on the light in the mini playfield. After the mini is done with its thing the gi comes back on.
My gi does that part correctly , but will turn randomly off during play, then back on. It doesn’t flicker it appears it’s being Switched off. ( new power board and good gi connector)
Is this likely from one of the saucer switches being bad or a relay triggering on its own?

Are you getting a tilt warning? IIRC those early system 7 games will flash the lights for a tilt warning.

Also, it could be the GI connector - williams had a LOT of issues with the GI connectors on their games, on my black knight I had to replace one of the 0.062 connectors between the backbox and the playfield. Dunno if it was pinched or what, but I would reseat it and then the GI would go out. Could also be the connector pins on the power supply I think they just used the power supply for the fuse and the relay, you can move it off the connector if need be, there were a lot of operator mods/fixes for this back in the day. People used to split the GI lines into 4 individual ones with fuses and other crazy ideas to try and fix GI issues like permanently soldering the wires (don't do this!)

If you don't hear the relay actually click when it happens, it's probably something with a connection.

I dont beieve its a Tilt bc the game play continues and then they come back on after a few seconds.
Next test I Will turn down the volume and listen for the relay... the connector looked good but I've been fooled before
thanks
