Quoted from tullster:

Check the basics. Wall outlet, power cord, reseat connectors. Pull the power supply and look for cracked solder joints or bad capacitors. Got any neon lights nearby? They can cause those SCD’s to do weird stuff.
Those jukeboxes are about 35 years old and probably due for some attention.

Yes I reseat the connectors and the reset button and seems too be working so far I hope it will keep working lol thanks for the help

Quoted from Williampinball:

Hi all I have a Seeburg SCCD-2 or 1 ,does anyone know why it's resetting all the time now .thanks

As forementioned, check the power supply. Been a minute since I worked on an SCD, but seems like they would reboot if there was a player issue? I may be confusing this for a different juke-I’ve worked on thousands. Seriously thousands.

#953 1 year ago

To follow up, I was thinking of the SCD 1 or 2 model, not the SCCD model that you must have. Totally different jukes, but they probably have the same guts.

However, My advice still stands. Tear into it and make sure the basics are all good.

Just picked up an ami f and a rockola tempo 2. Neither working currently. I will probably sell the f but may keep the tempo. Not sure yet. I'd like to get the tempo playing.

The tempo scans with the mech switch and seems like it will credit up. I can select any of the letter buttons up top but the number keys wont lock in and make a selection. Any suggestions on where to start? I'm guessing this box has sat for a while.

I saw the auction for those. Nice pickups.

I searched for my original and couldn't find it, so I found this online. It's in the manual, but here is the very handy Service guide for Rowe 100CD Jukes. Quick reference technician cards would come with every CD 100 juke, but they tend to never be there (kinda like the WPC Service Manual!). Everyone should have one of these in their Rowe/AMI Juke and learn how to use it.

Does anyone have a Rowe CD100 wallmount (Storm/Berkley/etc) that could help me with a pic of the title rack motor area?

#959 1 year ago

Did you play with the page speed settings? It would be in the attract section in the menu I posted above.

Put in service mode hold popular and press # 2 then 5 to adjust page speed when in play and service mode. IIRC, 1 is slowest and 5 is fast. Press popular and reset together to exit.

If that makes no difference or it seems to be straining to move, I’d remove the title page assembly and clean the gears & slides. Someone might have over lubed it and it’s now gummed up.

Now that pinball machines are almost out of reach for my wallet, I have been focusing my fixing itch to Jukes. I have currently 2. Both were non working and practicaly free. The Rowe now works flawlessly and the Rockola is 100 percent but still a work in progress.

I haven’t, but I’ll try that. Thanks.

The issue is that the cam is slipping down the shaft that comes from the gearbox. Looking for a pic to ensure everything is set up properly.

I did hat first. The old grease was properly nasty but everything looked on. I cleaned and lightly re-lubed.

Ok I understand now. I don’t have access to to a juke like yours anymore. Hopefully someone can snap a picture of theirs to help you out.

When on route, sometimes we’d slow down the page speed to keep the booklets and title pages from sliding around. But if it was too slow, the pages would barely move. That’s what got me thinking you had a page speed issue. Good luck! I’m sure it’ll get figured out somehow.

The Rock-Ola a looker in the dark! Love mine, had it since 1992 and is a workhorse!

Hello,
I am in need of pictures of a ROCKOLA 1428 Jukebox inside the door.
I decided to repaint my door due to some scratches and took mine apart.
I lost my pictures pre-disassembly. Too many nuts, bolts, plastic holders, etc. It would take forever to do without some pictures.
I would like to put it back together at least close to what it was inside.
Thanks

Can yall help me out. Looking for 2 of these speakers. Just the covers. Dont need any guts and need to be in decent condition.
Thanks.

This one was a basket case bought off of ebay about 20 years ago. I spent more in re-chroming, then I did buying it.

Last month I found this Seeburg sitting in a corner of a antiques shop outside of Keremeos, BC. After chatting with the owner she really had no attachment to it and would have sold it filled up for $1000 cdn. I wish I had the space for it. Almost convinced my uncle to take our mobility scooter so we would have had room for it.

If anyone is looking, I have these 3 very nice 200 select wallboxes available. Wurlitzer & Rockola are complete with cash boxes, locks & keys. The AMI is missing the cash box & key but it is open. Any of these can be shipped but won’t be cheap so pick up in person is preferred but I can ship.

Anyone recommend a Rock-ola distributor for a new in box juke? I'm looking to buy one. Still not quite sure if I want cd or 45's but leaning torwards vinyl. I've casually looked around at distros online and many seem cheaper than buying from Rock-ola directly, although I'm not sure if the prices are up to date or if they even have them in stock. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance,

I have a rockola fireball that plays CDs and it stopped working. It picks up the CD put it in the player but the CD never spins and then after a couple of seconds it returns the CD. Any ideas what might be wrong?

Probably a bad cd player. That's how it acts when the laser is bad. But if you are lucky, it might work after you clean the eye with a cue tip soaked in alcohol or windex.

If its a bad player, I think you can purchase a replacement from one of the amusement suppliers. Installation is pretty easy!

NEVER use alcohol on the lens....just spit on a q-tip

I have a Wurlitzer 1900 that was basically put on "Free Play" some time ago. I have had no issues with that for many years until today. The selection light does not come on, and selections can't be made. I have no clue where to begin the troubleshooting. Any help would be appreciated.

Rebuilding a couple of F and G AMI mono tube amps. New capacitors, resistors, tubes and a few other adjustments.

You are probably missing a required voltage. Power supply issue. Probably a bad diode/bridge rectifier causing a fuse to blow or circuit breaker to trip.

For anyone with a Rowe CD100
Anyone know how to rotate the CD basket to load up CDs in it?
I’ve heard you put it in service mode and hit some button that will move the basket Manually so you can load it up

There’s a bunch of CD100 models, but here’s how you do it on my CD100 wall mount…Pull out the service switch and press the black button next to the CD player.

All right group, one more question.
Got the CD Wallmount Symphony Rowe up and working finally, gripper arm was giving me fits but I figured it out, got the CD's loaded and programmed in.
most CD's are playing fine, but some get a static sound, skip, then arm picks them up and puts them in the basket and goes to the next song.
Mind you, I did not clean the CD's before I loaded them, it was too late last night to mess with that.

think the CD's need to be cleaned? or does the CD lens need a cleaning, and what cleaner is used for that? and how?

any help is appreciated, I feel I'm on the 1 inch line of getting this juke totally working

#994 1 year ago

Currently working on this jukebox for a friend. USB-Serial cable arrives today and I can then connect the touchscreen to the laptop and tested.

The best solution for cleaning the lens...spit on a q-tip. NO cleaning solution.

I had a "one more time" jukebox that I sold for 3,200 about four months ago and it was in worse condition than what I can see on yours. Mine had a broken U plastic, missing the side mirror bars, needed glass and wood trim for the areas to the left and right of the buttons, and needed work on the fluorescents as two would immediately blow a bulb when put inside. Mine was a CD version if that makes any difference.
