Looks like a great starting point! The pilasters are in great shape! They’re usually dented and kicked in.
I'm looking for a Rock-ola bubbler for my son. Must be the 45 version and in excellent shape.
Closer to the Twin Cities, the better.
Quoted from KoolFingers:Thx for the lead golfingdad1
Did you call on this?
Is it a good deal , I would have no idea .
No after reading the ad it has a new modern amp and is not original. That’s my goal for the moment though I may later regret it.
But I do appreciate the lead.

Depends on what era you are looking for but if you want classic oldies, try:
Oldies.com
Classic45s.com
If you want specific stuff like artist or song you can find just about anything you want.
I have a pretty good selection of 45’s so if you want anything specific, let me know and maybe I can help out.

One of the best sounding 45rpm jukes they made. Is this one 100% cd or a mix of 45/cd?
Quoted from PM_Jeremy:One of the best sounding 45rpm jukes they made. Is this one 100% cd or a mix of 45/cd?
It is a Combo, holds 100 45s and 6 CDs. Both mechanisms are functional. And you are right, it sounds great!
Hey guys. I’ve got a Seeburg M100A project that is mostly all there. However, the cartridge is missing and seems to be made from unobtainium (cuz I can’t find one anywhere). Do you fine fellows have any leads to help out a fellow pinhead? Thanks.

That might be a great place to ask.... there is a member there named Mike Florio who deals in a lot of parts.
Thanks for the tip Red. I do have a FB account, but found myself wasting to much time on there, so I’ve been on hiatus for a while. I’ll give it another go though if it means finding the right cartridge. The ol jukebox ain’t good for nuthin if it don’t got no daygone cartridge.
I have a Rowe R-83 jukebox ,i am looking for somebody to test and repair the memory unit.I have reached out to A&B jukebox with no response.

Brian, also check out www.musicstack.com.
Great search tool, will display many vendors across the globe with what they have for sale.
I've found a few real gems there for my juke, generally their gradings are accurate.
Hi Pin guys,
So I'm here asking if anyone knows of a Pinside type site where I can ask noob questions about my first jukebox, a Rock Ola 459. For instance, I'm not able to turn the basket motor by the knob like I can the other gripper motor. I'm not sure if it's the sequence it's in or if it's something else.

Beautiful, is that a Rock-Ola made version?
Quoted from MrBally:Beautiful, is that a Rock-Ola made version?
Yes, it’s been in storage waiting to find a home on the wall. I install a new spinning motor while it was down and now to wire it up.
Ok, I got a mystery on my hands. I was able to turn my jukebox on for the first time in 6 months today. My kids had stacked some closet mirrors in front of it without asking last summer. I finally re-arranged enough in my shop to move the #@##$% mirrors today. I turned on my CD100C, and it came up and played music like a champ.
I opened it up to check everything over, and discovered this:

Looks like it belongs on a 70s Electric Light Orchestra album cover.

This is a coincidence.....so when I was about 10 my dad got a mid-late 60’s Seeburg jukebox...He just wanted to have a jukebox and it was cheap. Then he got some books that showed the history of jukeboxes. I saw a picture of that Wurlitzer speaker and told my dad he should get one cause it just looked so cool. He never did but I always wanted one since I was a kid. Well I lucked into one today. Glad I got this one as it’s a bubbler too. It’s cleaning up nice!

Yeah....agree you should have help if you ever get one . It’s only 50lbs or so but it’s awkward because it’s 32”. A Cleveland clock is a pain by yourself and it’s only 26”.
But they are beautiful pieces. More for decoration than anything but I may actually hook it up to one of the boxes.

If the fluorescent light ballast was above that, it's the insulator leaking out. Older ballasts have PCB's in them, toxic and a carcinogen. Newer ones don't. Hard to say without a broader picture.

I remember the first time I saw an ELO album in a Record Store,I immediately said to myself: That's a Wurlitzer external speaker. I already had a copy of McKewin's (sp?) Juke Box book where I saw a picture of one. Never saw one in person until the "new" Rock-Ola company started making them and had one on display at a trade show.
On location, I only saw a few of Seeburg's rather dull looking "official" external speakers back in the '70's.
Speaking of ELO - One of my favorite ELO songs is "Wild West Hero." I had always wanted in on my W1900, but could only find it on a UK single (with the small hole). I bought one off eBay, and using a regular drill based hole saw, managed to cut a proper 1.5" diameter hole in the record. I did practice on two throw-away records first, and managed to crack one of them. So I was lucky.
I have seen some record "dinkers" for sale, and was wondering if any of you have had success with these devices - or if there are other methods of making the proper sized hole?

I have a dinker, bought off eBay from the UK. Does what it is meant to do. Go slowly and clean up the 45 with a utility knife. Photo to follow.
FE0EE145-642E-4255-A0A2-9BEA799C6F89 (resized).jpeg@pudalee I saw your drinker question in the other thread... So for anyone else's interest I'll share what I wrote there. In concept it's not much different than the tool shown above...
I've no experience with Dinkers but recently discovered the term when I bought a UK NIN 7" 45 to put in my juke, and was shocked to discover the hole was "wrong"! (Kinduva fascinating story there, who knew records had such a deep rabbithole?)
I already felt stupid and didn't want to spend another $50+ (more like $75 based on what I could find!) just to "dink" one record!
So, if you have a steady hand and patience, you can do what I did: go to the hardware store and get some some 3/16" threaded rod, a couple 1.5" fender washers, and matching locknuts. Then get an Xacto knife and a pack of new blades. Thread the rod through the existing record hole and clamp the washers on both sides with the locknuts. Make SURE you have centered the washers and they cannot move - this is tricky but absolutely critical! Then carefully start cutting with light-to-medium pressure along the edge of one washer. You might even be able to hold the knife and spin the record using your makeshift spindle (hint: make sure the washers are free from burrs and other imperfections that might snag the blade).
It's tedious and nerve-wracking, but doable: I was very slow and careful as obviously one bad slip of the knife would destroy the grooves. Vinyl is very hard to cut, and you will have to stop frequently and often to clean swarf and debris from your cut. Once it gets deep enough to help "keep" the blade, you can increase pressure with appropriate caution. If you're confident both washers are centered, you can do the other side to meet in the middle... eventually the knife will break through. All told it took me a little over half an hour but I prevailed with a dead-center 1.5" hole, minimal label wear beyond a few errant scratches from blade slips, and a rare record - probably the only NIN 45 in a jukebox in the USA ha ha - that sounds *perfect* for just $5 in parts and a half hour of stress.
But I can't say I intend to do another this way if I can avoid it. It's a desperation cheapskate play, not a recommendation. If euro 45's end up being your thing, I'd get a punch dinker. If all you want is one HTF "rarity" you can either try this method, or add that price to your record...
