Just dropped by to shamelessly plug my new YouTube vids - thought you lot might enjoy it
Cheers guys
Was thinking of doing a Black Knight 2000 cover as well but I don't think I'd be able to do a better job than this fella:
Great job! You have some nice tone.
How do you like your Ernie Ball? My JPXI is my favorite guitar. The thing plays like butter.

I think you could - I don't like the interpretation of that cover.

Maybe, I'd stay rather record something that no-one else has done though.
*cough* suggestions welcome *cough*

Still seems to be working for me. Try watching it on the channel page: www.youtube.com/retrogeet
I nominate Starship Troopers for your next challenge.
Take a listen and tell me you can't just friggin' jam on this.
Cheers all the for lovely comments

Unfortunately it's not a 'proper' Music Man but one of the Far Eastern "Sterling by Music Man' models. Still a lovely geet though, just needs the electronics upgrading really, starting to get a bit crackly. The action and feel are top notch though.
Quoted from Gryszzz:Love the bends you're doing...looks like yer gonna twist the neck off ! Nice.
Haha cheers, yeh that first bend is a killer. Must have taken me 25+ takes to get a decent playthrough of the lead guitar part, my fingers were in absolute rags afterwards!

Not actually a massive fan of this table but I will admit the music is class. I'll add it to my ever growing 'covers to-do' list
Rock on, I love it! Vince Pontarelli did the music for both Judge Dredd and Dirty Harry. Check out Dirty Harry, I am sure you could rock out on that one too.
He did Corvette as well, which IMO has some of the best music in pinball. Check that out for yourself
Here's a little teaser to the new video I'm working on -
Nearly gave up on it as I'm not a good enough singer to cover the vocals, and playing them on guitar didn't sound right. But managed to extract the speech files from the ROMs and assign them to my keyboard
That's a great idea to use the actual game voices because they are iconic and really make the song. Miss my Bk2K sometimes.
This is great! I've done similar things for fun, never to production value. I've always wanted to make a multi window video with the different instruments. I intended on making it happen with a traditional Irish tune for St Patrick's day but life got in the way. Here is something I did a few months ago. I was working on a Comet and the theme is infectious. It's a couple drum beats I laid down with my electric kit (with some quantize). Guitar and bass are going through a Line 6 Guitar Port. Really simple quick demo. Lots of copy paste. If people dig this sort of stuff I'd like to up the production and make a video. Shred guitar solo at about 45 seconds. Keep em coming!
Amazing job! I play my Dredd daily and I always want to make it to that riff that you play high on the neck. If I don't get to that part I get upset because the song starts over.
Cheers
Gonna have to start cracking on with some more of these, can't believe the amount of requests I've had!
Judge Dredd Multiball, No Fear, F-14 Tomcat, Eldorado City of Gold (lol), High Speed, Starship Troopers, Corvette, Corvette Multiball, Dirty Harry, Swords of Fury & Judge Dredd Main Theme (again, lol)
Gonna take me a while to get through all of those!
Quoted from Jimmyd044:Great stuff! How about a Fishtales cover.
Oh god, not another request!! Haha
Great job.
Makes me want to buy the sheet music from you, and teach/play the song myself.
Solo riff is trickier than I believed.
Unfortunately, I don't play bass, only lead and support.
RetroGeet, awesome covers! Now you opened the request floodgates, haha.
I'd love to see covers of:
-Road Kings
-Whirlwind
-Funhouse
-Pinbot
-T2
-Many others that'll keep you busy.
Whirlwind would make for an awesome metal cover! Have you guys ever heard Vomitron? They do some awesome heavy metal covers of classic 80's NES games.
Evening all. Hope you don't mind me popping back for a tad more self-promotion
Had so many requests/suggestions last time and feel a bit bad as I haven't done any of them and it's been a year! If there's anything you wanna see me cover then pop it in the comments on this video, and at some point I'll select one at random and record it
