That's the lifter motor for the crane - 14-7989. You want 14-7985.

It is not. 14-7989 is in stock for $89 but that's the motor for the crane. The motor for the dead world is 14-7985 and is not in stock anywhere.

Bay Area does have it listed but not in stock for $195 so a rebuild isn't a bad idea.

We just drilled one out and rebuilt it. My guess is that one of the gears came disconnected from the center pin that holds it. Unless you have the ability to weld, or know someone who does, you're gonna hafta get it rebuilt or buy a used one.

seems like you could take this to a machine shop and have them weld it for super cheap. Call around...

And as has been stated in other threads, if you crack open the case and attempt to fix it yourself and are unsuccessful, chances are Steve Young will not take it for rebuild. In for a penny...

You don't have to weld the gear to the hub. I usually key them together when I repair pin gearboxes. Drill 3 small holes at the seam between the gear and the hub and then snap the bit off into the holes. Believe this is harder to fix them most slipping gears because 2 gears are on the same spindle.
