Hey guys, looking to sell my Judge Dredd. Price is $2700. This is far from your everyday JD and my price obviously reflects it. Believe me, I am still going to take a beating compared to what I have in it. I would say this is a CQ example.

The good pretty much everything; Great playfield (no wear, very shiny), ramps, wireforms, plastics. Cabinet has been restored by me; new decals, new warning stenciled on, new coin door, new rails, new legs, new lockdown bar, new glass, new topper, new flipper bats and super-bands + flippers rebuilt, new hardware (locks, bolts, casters, backbox latch etc.) All premium LEDs and new rubbers.

The not so good; Trough error (maybe 86 and 87) I can't tell that it effects anything at all. Have not found a mint translite (maybe a 8.5) not bad, but I was looking for perfection.

I will try and get some video up loaded, game plays awesome. Deadworld and crane work perfectly. I have never had any issues except the trough errors. My 1st JD had a bunch of issues (always had issues with optos and VUKs, deadworld etc. This one has really been bulletproof for me.

If you are looking for a really great example of a JD, this is it.

The pictures, I tried to take pics of everything; here they are (43 pictures)

Wow nice price for this kind of condition - free bump

#8 10 years ago

Ooooo - soooo shiny - 1 of the nicest looking Dredd's out there bar far.

#9 10 years ago

Bump for a great seller…(Bought a sweet BSD from Craig). Nice game and and an even nicer person! GLWTS my bother!! Darn, if I only had the room this would be mine!!!

#10 10 years ago

Dam I am tempted. Great seller.

#11 10 years ago

I would give it CQ only if it had the original topper. That shiny one doesn't do much for me. But that can be rectified.
Twice the price of most JDs, but worth every cent! GLWS!

#12 10 years ago

that should be gone in a second, since this group says regular version go for 2k all day. I'm surprised there isn't a 10 man pile up on this one now.

I am too. Seen this game. This is not your average JD. This is something special.

Quoted from Toasterdog:

Deadworld and crane work perfectly.

Nice game, but a point of clarification...

Judging from the pictures this JD does not have the Deadworld mod so the crane would never be used
to move a ball during gameplay. (Notched slots in Deadworld ring vs. circular holes to hold the ball.)

Still a very nice JD, but the Deadworld, in this case, does not hold balls and the crane doesn't remove
them from the Deadworld ring as John Trudeau originally intended.

Deadworld may rotate, but it doesn't appear to me that it holds the locked balls.

this group likes to spew a lot of high numbers so they don't feel so bad about overpaying for their games, but many have no intention on paying the prices they spew.

Fair callout as usual from the legend.

Actually it does.

Would love to see the video.
I have been known to be wrong from time to time.

Just judging based on how my JD is configured with the Deadworld mod compared to the pics
of this particular game offered for sale.

Not my video, but go to 6:30 and you can watch it in action!

Edit-I will make a video of Supergame sometime that might just blow your mind.

Thanks for the video o-din. Very interesting.
The Deadworld on my JD rotates clockwise (instead of counter clockwise as shown
in this video) and my JD ring holds up to three balls at once.

Good too see the crane being used this way as well.

I admit I was wrong.

I only knew this from hours of play time back in '93 when the mod was only something of dreams.
But your planet ring should turn counter clockwise regardless. Of course I could be wrong.........

Ok... I was wrong twice...mine rotates counter clockwise too.
Memory is the second thing to go and I forget what the first is.

Anyway... Good to see JD getting some love and appreciation.

No, you were correct. Deadworld is the planet, and it rotates clockwise .

And thanks for the kind words. Some say I'm a legend in my own mind.
I would love to have your Dredd.

Your actually wrong, the crane does move and function during gameplay. The first two locks are virtual, the 3rd gets diverted onto Deadworld, which rotates to the crane. The crane then lifts the ball off Deadworld, moves over and drops the ball into the left orbit. It works perfectly. But thanks for the compliment

EDIT: Just realized you edited

Wrong, I'm sure Neo passed up several $800 ones this past year.

#28 10 years ago

not on this title, but I did pass on plenty of $1200-1400 ones.

#29 10 years ago

This game will grow in popularity and value gradually.
I enjoy it more than most 90s games and it would be an LE game from Stern if released today.

I still can't believe people are out there paying $8000+ for new games when this exists. Sure made my life easy when I entered the buying part of this hobby. Somes they like it, and somes they don't.

Your game is worth what you are asking, pinball wise. IMO.

I would have to agree. And hope that Color DMD gets on board for this title, because that is the one I would buy. The colors would also fit in well with the color scheme of this machine.

Bump for seller.

#38 10 years ago

Miss my old JD sometimes. Would consider this one if it was local.

#39 10 years ago

Long needed bump. This is a beautiful example of a JD. Great cabinet and playfield. This is not a JD that is in constant need of repair, it has been like my trusty steed.

Trustysteed.jpgTrustysteed.jpg

Lowered the price slightly and amended my description. I had minor issue with one insert light socket (I replaced with new socket) and left pursuit flasher fixed (loose wire, resoldered). The only error is the 1, 2 trough error (when I get sometime this weekend I will see if I can fix) has not been an issue in the past.
