To me, those do not look like original toppers. I know that there is a topper that is in a dull finish and one that was later made that was a gold chrome finish.

Neither look like the original dull color. Pretty sure both are new reproductions.
Illinois pinball is currently selling ones like the one in your first link.

Not original

that butterscotch one is horrendous. ick!
the first one is fairly close to the originals, but looks like a repro.
I have a golden/semi chrome one on mine I bought from IPB and it's pretty decent and was way cheaper than either of those.

Here are Genes remakes..... the one in the middle is closets to the real one. I would not hesitate to buy that one in a heartbeat. Its just as good. I dont like the mirror gold ones.

I have a lot of history with JD the pinball machine going all the way back to helping with the original dead world mod way back in the day.

good luck,

I saw it but this post worried me "PRICE REDUCED BECAUSE OF PLATING ISSUE"

I would email Kim @ IPB and ask what the issue is with the plating. Otherwise get the other one and paint it yourself. For $80 you can't beat the price.

That was someones remake, that is not an original topper. Although, it is cast from an original topper, so it looks exactly the same. Extremely sturdy, just dont let it fall on your game.
