Trying to do some work on a Judge Dredd crane. I'm having trouble removing the top of the crane from the shaft because I don't know the right hex key size and my head is too big to get a good view. There isn't a lot of room to look at the hex key size.

The manual states it is a #8-32 but that's for the screw itself, not the key to turn it.

Does anyone know the appropriate hex key size to remove the crane?

There are a lot of issues that can occur with the crane. Many or old/worn parts that might need replacing. This (old) link is useful
