Quoted from lllvjr:

I want to start collecting your artwork.. What's my options?

IANAL, but if ZombieYeti hasn't been paid for his artwork on the Zidware games, I'd think that he'd have a case to claim that they are still his assets. If so, he should be able to do what he wants with them (e.g. sell prints, license the art to Stern, print Popadookie toilet paper with MG art on it, whatever).

Quoted from iceman44:

Zidware is broke.

Zidware may not have cash, but they do have assets. The prototypes, artwork, patents, etc are all assets that will be liquidated during bankruptcy in order to pay the line of creditors.

Quoted from Biv:

If they're auctioned off, how much money would someone pay for those pinball related ideas and papermache prototypes?

I don't expect that an auction would ever make the creditors whole. I was just making the point that there's still assets that have (a yet undetermined) value. Hell, Stern or PPS or Circus Maximus or anyone could buy the assets cheap in bankruptcy and have a jump start on the design of a new game.

My completely unfounded guess at who the mystery investor is.... Roger Sharpe.

I can think of no other name that might give anyone who knew even the tiniest shred of confidence that any of the Zidware games will get produced.

Quoted from Rarehero:

Roger's a licensing guy....not a Millionaire with money to blow on this thing, or the ability to manufacture.

Yeah, I could think of a lot of good reasons for it to not be Roger. But his son does work at Raw Thrills, he does love pinball, and he is in Chicago. Couple that with "not Stern" and I can't think of another name in the Chicagoland area that would change many minds... maybe Terry @ PBL?

Mostly, it was my total shot in the dark at who the investor could be.... if there even is one. Perhaps Vid is right.
