please don't make this thread about me. For all of those who hate me just ignore me. Nothing I said in this thread is bad or deserves the vitriol I get. Just curios about these games. Have a place to place some more pins. And my apartment isn't huge but I wouldnt say its tiny. Always an open invite to come by and play LOtR
Looking at any pinball machine as an investment is just wrong. It's only become this way because people have made LOTS of money over the past few years. And in general, the depreciation on a pinball machine is nowhere near the depreciation of a car, furniture, a TV, jewelry, etc. But at the end of the day, it's a toy meant to entertain. If anyone buys an MG and expects to see it go up from 17K, I think that person is setting themselves up to be disappointed. Rare or not, the main thing going against all new pinball machines now is simple: nothing will remain hot forever as newer and newer pins will come out each year and push the innovation forward. Tron LE is a good example of this inevitable dip, or market adjustment if you will. And it's just like stock. If Tron goes from 6.5K to 10K that's a nice jump. But 10K still brings in A LOT more interest than 17K. If MG goes up, the potential buyer pool shrinks smaller and smaller. It's that simple.
Now I've compared pinball collecting to car collecting many times and I'll do it again. There is a market for super high end pins, just like super high end cars. I definitely think we're going to see pins that sell NIB for 20K soon. JJP started to show us what a 9K pin should look like, Lebowski is there too, but I think when MG is revealed people will see just where that extra $$$ went. You're going to see art like nothing else out there. You're going to see toys like never before. You're going to just see an overall package that places it a level above the rest. And while some will complain and say there's NO WAY a pin should cost that much or could ever be worth that much, I disagree. Labor, love, details and innovation cost a price. Anyone can make a Honda Civic faster than a Ferrari, but Ferrari's are special because of the total package. JPOP wants to make Pinball's first Ferrari. That's an awesome thing to witness, no?

Amen. Everyone knows a pin of this magnitude needs at least 3-4 years development time. But it's definitely coming out.

Really no need to get hostile. Did you really think a pinball machine would go from concept to production in less than 3 years? Especially one that's innovative, highly detailed and such a work of art? I feel bad people have waited so long, but trust me, the wait will be worth it. This pain will end soon enough.

I think John will show something, doesn't have to be a full game reveal, but some of the curtain will be pulled back. And it's not all or nothing anymore. Dutch showed a full game and look where they are now? I'll take whatever new bit of Magic Girl is ready to be shown.
Question for you guys with a horse in the race. If a full game isn't revealed what's your next move? I'm sure John knows the pressure, but would you back out at this point? Hold on?
Just curious. Do any MG buyers want refunds? Heard there was a wait list. After all this, anyone looking to sell their top 20 spot?
I asked this a while back. For those who have money in and want out, are you not able to sell your spot to someone on the waiting list? Last I heard there was a wait list for each game.
This situation is unfortunate. But from what I know, there's a game very close to being shown. The reveal has begun. It's coming in pieces but should end soon with the full game. Be patient and enjoy the holidays.

No I am just curious about these games because out of all the new stuff promised, these titles excite me the most. And I'm up at 2am because I can't sleep. A family member of mine is very ill and was at the hospice most of the night. Just killing time to sheer fatigue takes me to bed.
Look guys...I'm not saying this wait hasn't been god awful. I'm just saying some on here are stirring the pot when they have absolutely no horse in the race. People who have money sent have every right to comment. But guys like Aurich are only here to create a mob and burn down Zidware. Not cool.

Everybody who is in on MG and RAZA have had years to go visit the shop and see what's happening. If you are freaking out, you should probably take a weekend and do a road trip. Compile a list of owners and see what each of them knows, who has viewed th studio most recently and what the status is. If you have questions, establish a schedule of one person per month who is going to do a studio tour, send them a PM with your questions and have them ask them to Jpop directly and report back.
If the owners are going to accuse Jpop of being disorganized and not handling business, they should take their own advice and start getting organized themselves.

OK BACK ON TOPIC...NO MORE ABOUT ME AND MY MADE UP GIRLFRIEND...BACK TO ZIDWARE and the status of the games...I won't post anything else that's not JPOP related, but you guys have to hold up your end of the bargain.
That being said...I've seen the playfield and it's fucking EPIC!!!! Game is going to be worth the wait. Playfield and plastic art went up yesterday.
