Apparently he's busy with side projects. Most know about his "school" (http://www.pinballschool.org) -- Classes starting soon! And recently someone found http://pinballtruss.com.

But there appears to be other "projects". Maybe these are game 4 and 5?

http://www.pussycatpinball.com - "Coming Kinda Soon" in 2015
http://www.pinballx.org - Coming in 2015!

or http://nanoschool.org
or http://the-nanohome.com
or http://zidbook.org
or http://makerjohn.net
or http://rockstarpinball.com
or http://pinballmaximus.com (Waaah?)
or http://www.pinballscrapbook.com
and others...

Also he we have this: http://pinballcreatorkit.com, which I think only comes with paypal account and list of collectors with money to spend. No real pinball parts or plans on how to create a pinball machine.

Quoted from s1500:

Funny. Most of his sites are just 1 page. The nav links won't work. The creator kit page shows, well, a few pieces that you could possibly use for pinball. I see an Arduino module. And some did retrofit several modules to redo a Fireball machine.

Yeah, none are remotely complete and these of course could be just a result of a lazy weekend where he needed to take some time off on the games. But it does beg the question how much time he spends on getting the primary projects done.

I am surprised MG/RAZA owners don't just all group together and show up at his office and demand a chat.

Quoted from frolic:

Same was true for me. I bought in because of his background and experience. As he will tell you, he's one of only 2 people in the world that made pinball2000 games. I figured all that would mean something but I'm concluding with all these boutiques you need sound business management as well as the pinball design and passion.

Wow, you'd think WMS would have been killing it in profits since it no longer needing dozens and dozens of people usually involved with producing pinball machines! </s>

If he actually believes and stated this, it's no wonder why his stuff is way behind schedule.

Quoted from TecumsehPlissken:

I am just hoping that all the stalling and unnecessary redesigning etc...will end , machines will get built, & delivered & that I will not lose my down payment and that I will SOME day get a really cool machine

A scary thought for buyers: What if the games do get built, are cool to look at, but have the rules of a Zizzle?

Quoted from GLModular:

Just curious...can you buy one of those shirts? Is there a shopping cart on one of those dozen websites?

http://shopzidware.com

Nothing for sale though...

Here are some other interesting domains John has recently registered in august and updated back after expo.

Good themes if you ask me, because his buyers are praying for their games to be made.

Lastly, we have http://pinball1977.com, which was registered on 9/29. "Retro mod shop dedicated to keep the pinball tradition alive and well. From recreating a retro-type pinball game, to illustrating pinball art and designing mods. The future of pinball today!"

Quoted from epthegeek:

Not sure when this was filmed

Looks very recent, as one of the posters he mentioned was for Aug and the other for November. Also it looks cold and there is no corn anymore.

I like his artwork and some of the game art looks very, very cool.

Quoted from frolic:

John refuses to talk about this, pretty much completely.

As I mentioned before, I really think some of you need to just "tour his shop" and corner him and ask these questions. A JPop intervention if you will. At this point, you guys deserve some answers.

Some feel this could freak him out, jeopardize the project, etc -- but honestly, if the project is that fragile... it most likely wouldn't come to completion anyway.

Quoted from frolic:

He probably draws some sort of salary, but works out to slave wages I'm sure. Him drawing money is not the reason for running out of money, it is the monthly cash burn on everything else that he can't get his arms around.

Since he really doesn't share anything, it's really hard to say. Heck, all the money for the games could be sitting in a bank account drawing interest while he lives off money coming from apps, or the dozens of other ventures he seems to give time too.

Or he could be smoking blunts made up of $100 bills daily.

Quoted from limelime20:

It is NOT owned by Zidware, Zidware is gone..., it's now owned by Pintasia...
and who else?

Not sure if it's been mentioned in the flurry of posts, but all traces of MG, RAZA and AIW were scrubbed from pinballinventor.org

The landing page was changed to have a "reloading" graphic.
