Spamming the link over and over again in the same thread isn't going to affect search engine rankings. What helps is when the link is posted on multiple websites and visitors are accessing it from multiple sites.

Maybe someone could take the $500 they were going to use to add to the lawsuit and use it to pay some SEO experts to get that link at the top of the rankings.

This is so fishy. As said before in this thread, I have to agree that John is only doing this so when he gets sued for fraud he denies everything with "hey look, i did work on it for years!!!". I just checked the Google search results for John Popaduik and sadly there is not one negative search result that pops up on the first page.

The first link on the second page brings up a Reddit discussion here:

Then if you keep going through the results to page 5, there are no further links to anything about Zidware and it's demise. Even this thread is nowhere to be seen. A Pinside result does pop up on the first page, but it is merely to JPops bio.

All of the search engines today use your history and bookmarks to help return better results. There are ways to get a 'pure' search, however something to keep in mind. A non-pinside member may not get the same results.

You don't get to the top of Googles search engine overnight, I think it takes time for their little bots and crawlers and stuff to make that happen, all sorts of algorithms and stuff. If we do what vid1900 recommended and ad links everywhere we can and spread it around on as many websites as we can it should get to the top soon enough. Forceflow's idea is effective too, adding the link to the search engines crawlers manually by as many different people as possible will also help a lot. Maybe Forceflow can ad the link to that.

AND, most importantly, the link should be wrapped around keywords like "magic girl", "jpop", "zidware", etc, that way those terms are associated with the web site and will cause the link to be listed near the top.

If you really want this to be done right, edit Wikipedia and create a page for John Popadiuk. There is not a page there for him. Wikipedia has the highest Google pagerank. You can put the full gory details of his business/dealings there as long as it's done in a neutral tone and has appropriate citations. It's funny that there are articles for many designers but not him.

There apparently were several different pages. There's a "John popadiuk" (with a little "p") page that has some dirt on him, but it's going to be deleted because it's not appropriately written. If you want things to stick, the page has to conform to the standard Wiki pages, and have a section that includes the scandal. Then even JPop can't get it removed if it's well-documented.

Time for JPOP to realize he can't hide under his bed and wish it all away. There's plenty of websites out there that have stories about the JPOP FLOP, let's start clicking and linking. There's plenty of different search words to try, his name,his mis-spelled name, his nickname ( JPOP ) Zidware, Pinball Inventor, names of his games. I'm liking that he has a wikipedia page now. Not even from a "make him visible" standpoint. I think every designer should have one because information about them is scattered. I need to go back and listen to the podcasts he was on to fill in more information.

People, pinside will automatically tag any links here on the forum as nofollow, which means it won't help searchengines to find them or make the link more important.
So no need to post the link here once or hundred or a thousand times, it won't matter.
If you have your own website / homepage or other blog where you can make links that are not nofollow, do it there, then it matters.
