Quoted from zombieyeti:
Ok - I'll chime in against my better judgement (which never stopped me before, right?)... First - I want to reiterate that I actually wish John the best for the sake of his family and for his pinball legacy....
As such - I think the moniker of 'Zombie' should be given to John/Zidware from this day forward. Just call me 'Yeti' because I'm donating the 'Zombie'
I want to thank everyone who has been supportive of me thru this, the (?) 11th iteration of Zombie Zidware's rererererebirth... seriously, you guys are incredible and it's humbling.
And while I WANT everyone who paid for games to get them, I'll assume that they've written that off or sold their spot to Pinball Podcasters Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named (*rimshot*)...
So I have to say, at this point, if they are to be made, they won't be made with my blessing or my art... I have been asked to sign over all copyrights free and clear as if I was fully compensated. I simply refuse. I'm not a dick, but an insult does trigger some dick like behavior (calling the lawyer, posting here about this, just to name a few...)
And listen -there are millions of talented artists out there that could kill a fresh take on a pinball art package. I'm nothing special - I just work till I don't hate something So I'm sure they can find someone and PAY them accordingly to use the work...
I love the ridiculous nature of this saga - but I am really getting tired of it. I've got better projects to focus my energy on
Yours,
Z̶o̶m̶b̶i̶e̶ Yeti
Unbelievable they didn't offer to compensate you for your original work. Wouldn't it not be cheaper to just pay you and keep the art? Is that even possible at this point or is yeti saying he won't authorize it no matter what happens?
