It worked out very well for American Pinball. All they had to do was build a bunch of insanely expensive, unplayable pinballs. Go back to the drawing board and completely redesign another game he designed. And finally completely disassociate with him.
What could possibly go wrong?

I spoke with Robert. He said they really have no comment at this time. They plan on making an announcement at a future date and fully know what they are getting into. Very nice, very cordial and professional. I'm backing out of this convo for now as I've got no reason to pile on. Tho I hope JPOP at some point gets an ass kicking, I wish deeproot well in their venture.

Hey can someone please check the Pinside bandwith to make sure TBK's inevitable dissertation on the history of Gottlieb build quality actually posts? He's been working on it for 6 hours. I'd hate for him to hit "send post" just to crash the server.
