JP shaker is too violent

So I think my JP shaker shakes too much, its not a rumble, its a violent shake and the whole play field bounces up and down and it sounds like wood vibrating. I played a JP at the York show and the shaker on that one felt like a nice rumble and nothing vibrated too bad.

Is there any way to adjust the intensity of the shaker? Nothing in the settings. I took a look at the shaker and the weights were pointing in the same direction, so I moved them around and put them in opposite directions but still violent.

Any other tips?

Taken from another thread:::
"Other than adding something inline to reduce the voltage/power coming in to the shaker, changing the size of the weights seems like the only other way since I don't see an option in the adjustment menus.

Maybe I'll try putting some rubber under the feet to absorb some of the shaking."

I would be surprised if someone doesn't make a shaker reduce kit or something along those lines. Supposedly in some of the newer sterns with shakers it can be done via the menu / settings... But I don't think you can do it that way on JP.

I agree, I put a layer of foam rubber under the shaker in my JP.

If possible, move one of the weights 90 degrees. Normally they'd point opposite each other. Put them at a right angle and it should reduce the violent shake for a nice rumble.

Agree. Not sure if JP shaker is like RS but I moved mine 90 degrees and its perfect now.

I read other threads of some sort of set screw that was adjustable...

So I tried moving the weights in all kinds of configurations and nothing helped.

I did fix my problem. I took off the 4 screws holding down the shaker and put on 4 old rubber rings (i think they are 5/16 or 3/8 size) under the shaker holes. Screwed it back on so the screws went thru the shaker then the rubbers then into the bottom of the cabinet. Shaker feels great now and no wood vibration noise.

Thanks all.
