I was expecting a lot more picture of installed mods by now . Or hopefully you guys are just way too busy enjoying the addition to your games that you have not thought of adding some cool pics

Got my replacement bracket, but haven't had time to install it yet. I will definitely post pics when I get it finished! Thanks to you and Yelobird for getting them out so quickly!

Hi All,

Back from my biz trip.

1) Running the wires thru the hole - Simple - Running wires down bracket-Simple
2) Mounting Can- Simple
3) Drilling holes, I used my own screws as I didn't have a small tool for your type you sent. - Simple
4) Getting wires into holes on board- 6 times did it...if I had a solder gun it would have been quick.
5) Finding CN-6, - Simple. Powered this baby up -Simple

6) Ran the sensor to nearby option. Not working.

As the sensor wire is not to long, what would be a option B?

Thanks for the assistance.

You have to use a screwdriver to change the sensitivity of the sensor on the relay board.

Where did you place the flasher?? if you have a picture that would be great.. Since I have power I think it's all correct.

Will go try the board now.

One last question.

If I adjust the sensitivity will that make it go off less / more? Where I placed it for now it's going off almost constantly. I think I need to more it to a area where it's not so frequent unless that's what the sensitivity is for.

Thanks again...wonderful MOD. It's almost my fav....I think the goat is the winner...LOL. NOT!!!! My wife hates that damn goat. Guess I will be taking it out and having a bar b cue later.

Adjust sensitivity so that it lights only when a specific insert lights up. Just lift the playfield. Stick the sensor right next to an insert and then adjust.

UK early adopter here. Received my Barbasol can and replacement bracket from the US and Canada before I actually received my JP premium which finally arrived yesterday. Spent about 45 minutes replacing the bracket and then wiring it all up. Works like a dream. Very clever bit of kit. Followed this thread from day one and got in early. Glad I did. Great mod which is neck and neck with the chest opening mod on POTC for mod of the year. Brilliant to have such creative people in this hobby. Kudos to flashinstinct and hope you'll have more riocha now it's night of the working mods as there was for night of the broken brackets.

I agree 1000%.

We need him now to start on his next creation and stop counting all that money...HAHA.

Going to give him a nice feedback now.

You always seem to be under the impression that I made a million dollars off this mod....that's totally false I made

As for mods I'm in the process of getting samples. This mod will also transfer to other games once the concept is known to work. First at bat is TWD if everything works out.

Installed and seems to be working correctly. I guess it is normal for a loud clicking when the tubes are lighting?

It's the switch. It can mostly be heard in attract mode and when you activate the chaos insert. It should be drowned out in most instances.

How is the other mod comming along the winch lamp, cant seem to find that topic annymore

Quoted from jorro:

I've learnt from the past experience. I've strained tested the part and any contact breaks the winch. I have to redraw.

Voted!!

#574 4 years ago

ME TOO!! favorite by far!!

#575 4 years ago

Voted! More than deserved. I love telling people about this one + how it works + the design process and consistent updates + the whole "he sent everyone a new bracket" thing when they come over to play. I hope you win it. Really can't wait to see what you release next!

Made improvements on bracket 2.0 Bracket now has hole through to get wires down. The back side is completely reinforced and the wires come out the bottom in a directional channel. The top portion also has been modified with a slide down lock. Once I add glue and change packaging for shipment this puppy will not see a second episode of brackgate. Print time has also been improved by like 1000% by printing the part in two. The top portion of the bracket as also been thickened and modified.

Printing the top parts tonight. Will have 20 in stock by the end of January.

Parts ordered for MOD #2 test.

You make it sound so fun. . I don't recall having the same emotions LOL. In all fairness it was a great way to learn from my mistakes.

I appreciate the votes, I hope the mod has merit with the entire pinball community as a whole, even with the people that haven't purchased this. Here's to hoping. Hell I didn't vote or nominate myself out of principal.

Something went awry and you made it right w/ improvements to boot. Learning experience for sure but the key is that you made it a positive experience for your buyers. Customer service goes a long way in my world.

We did. I mean I voted for someone else just because I felt like I would be cheating but a shooter knob as the best mod is kinda funny.

you had my vote friend!

Time for a version 2.0? I would like to see it a bit smaller, and have it popped open when for instance the control room insert is lit. Just dreaming....

Why not have some condensed cryo smoke coming out of it when it opens up?

Anyone up for sharing some pics of a close up of their install? Got this amazing mod off a friend and it was pretty mangled. Trying to figure out where these 2 wires go. I assume into the plastic connector but I want to be certain!

Thx all. Can’t wait to get this bad boy up and running.
