Bally machines from this era seem prone to this. I had the same pin burn all the way through the bakelite on a Captain Fantastic. To get it working, I replaced it with one of those bullet connectors so I could still unplug it, if needed. Planning to replace the whole Jones plug but this has worked fine, so far.
