I recently picked up a nice Johnny with a pinsound board in it. When I lock a ball the annoying background music doesn’t stop until you drain. I thought somebody did this on purpose so I installed a new original music drive in it. Same thing. Is this a bug or that is what is supposed to be playing?Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks

Quoted from Luke_Nukem:

Pinsound is not good for original soundtracks… Tons of bugs and glitches. I’ve been working on my own score.

I like what you did. Thanks. I’ll go back to the drawing board. Can you just buy a custom sound stick anywhere?

I’m on my 3rd Johnny. New art that was done right. Like glass.

I took the whole back assembly off and opened up both gearboxes. Cleaning and greasing has made them faster and very quiet. Do this and you’ll be amazed at the difference it makes.

Wow, great pics. Look very clean. I will be doing this to mine soon. What did you use for grease and lubricant? Did you lube the X and Y screws as well, or left them dry after cleaning?

Cleaned what grease was in there and used white lithium. Lighter oil on threaded rods works fine.

You mean lighter fluid?
