Quoted from PTHermes:My JM came with blue EL wire around all the ramp edges from the previous owner, It looks really nice. It's tied into a 12 VDC source that comes on with the game.
pics?
Anyone else have their johnny in attract mode just start shooting balls out in an almost never ending cycle for several minutes? The display will sometimes go dark during this too.
Quoted from FilthyRich:It's not Midnight Madness is it? Check your time settings. Ice T takes over your machine at Midnight!
It doesn't announce midnight madness or anything.
Does midnight madness happen even during attract mode?
I do have NVRAM instead of batteries, so I get midnight madness on the first game I ever play when I boot it up.
But didn't think that would have any effect in attract mode.
Quoted from GRUMPY:No batteries no midnight madness.
I hate to say that's incorrect, but it is. Everytime I power on the machine the first game I play has midnight madness. Only that first one.
I know it's because of no batteries. And of course, it's at any time of day.
Speaking of plastics and things to need, I need a speaker panel plastic.
Mine came with a nice blue repro, but it's not the original one (which looks better to me).
Quoted from nams:EDIT - Fixed the issue, took all the chips out, dropped some contact cleaner into the slots and reseated them all, seems to be booting up and playing fine.
Quick question, My JM came with the original 0.4R U6 Rom and 0.2 Sound Set. I just got my 1.2R game rom and 1.0 Sound Set from an authorised Williams reseller.
I've installed the new chips and I'm left with a machine that no longer boots. It powers up, however that's where it stops. No sound, no DMD, no lights....nothing.
Any ideas before I throw the old chipset back in?
Cheers.
Did you insert the ICs in the wrong direction?
