Just finished working with Pinbits to create a PETG plastic protector set for JM.
Scanned, test-fit and installed. I anticipate it will be on the pinbits.com site soon for purchase.
All screened plastics are protected, even the one atop the left ramp.

Quoted from Glarrownage:

Hey Guys, quick question. I've had JM for a while and I just noticed that other people can change the skill shot lights with the flippers. Mine have never moved and they seem to light up at random when the roll-overs are activated. I have some flashers out and the mode lights don't seem consistent either. Do you know what might cause this? It's been this way for as long as I've had the table. I'm guessing its a board issue but I'm open to suggestions. Thank in advance!

Not looking at the underside of mine right now, but any chance the lane lights are on a circuit board?

Reason that I ask is that when I obtained my restored MM, I had a similar issue. The lane lights would change when I hit the flipper buttons, however, they didn't follow what I was triggering. Also, when the ball rolled over the switch in right lane, the left lane light lit (and vice--versa); center was always center though...

Turns out the person that restored and reassembled the game but the 3-light PCB in reversed (180 degress). The holes lines up and they never must have thought twice about it. Once I reversed the board position, the skill shot lights followed the corresponding flipper triggers.

Look for a pattern -- and perhaps you'll find something is reversed.

I just installed Super-band post sleeves in Johnny.

IMO, the game becomes even more brutal that it was with the Urethane Cliffy sleeves I had in there previously, and Cliffys were more brutal than factory rubbers.

I am really disappointed in Super-band sleeve posts. I suspect you can get away with them on some titles, but in my opinion, they are not "the same rebound as factory rubbers" (as the manufacturer falsely advertises), and this is really apparent on titles like JM where some of the posts are real close to the flippers.

Anyone else try installing Super-band post sleeves in Johnny? Opinions?

Quoted from Glarrownage:

So I checked and it seems like that is the proper connector. However, I saw one connector hanging loose. Does anyone know if this is normal for JM?

It's also possible that this was a connector for features that were omitted at production as a cost-saving measure (like the skull pile LED eyes on Scared Stiff).

Quoted from MustangPaul:

That's great. When will they be for sale?

I suspect soon. There are a few protector sets still not on their website. Give the JM set a couple weeks, and if not up there, I'd suggest emailing them.
