I've had my Johnny for a little over a week now and it has quickly jumped up to being my 2nd favorite pin (in my small collection). I'm really enjoying it.

Definitely one of the best Bang for your Buck pins out there. I don't see JM leaving anytime soon.....maybe ever.

Power Down has to be the coolest mode in all of pinball.

Quoted from Rcade:

Wooooo! Another great, adrenaline filled game! Best score I've gotten yet, had that spinner shot dialed in this morning. Feelin' good!

Nice one! You just gave me a goal.

Quoted from Skypilot:

It is with much regret that I must leave the club. JM is an awesome pin and will be missed.

Its a pirates life for me.

I would call that a definite downgrade, but to each his own, hope you love the change.

Yeah I really don't think the blinking space means anything at all.

You want to go for the "Extra Ball" space first and then line up three in a row from there.

Quoted from usandthem:

My best pin story ever happened today. A sound board interface error shows up on my JM. So, now I'm upset. I did a little looking around on the forum here and noticed that the ole' standby of reseating the pins could be a solution. Sure enough, it was. On the very first game I played after doing that, I got to Powerdown. What a rush! My last one to go out was the spinner. Is it legitimately based on how well you do, or does the Powerdown happen in a prescribed manner? Very excited. Looks like it was the first one ever on my machine. As a result, I scored my personal best of 7,800,000,000. Man, JM was at the height of scoring inflation.

If your hitting the shots Powerdown will last longer. Eventually it's still going to shut down though. Still my favorite wizard mode in all of pinball. Always a rush and never easy to get to.

I'm going to go with silver flippers and black rubber (Super Bands).

I just picked up a NOS translite for my JM.

Almost as hard to find as playfield plastics!

Due to a couple snow days, I got to play the crap out of my JM this week. Still haven't been able to get to Power Down, but I managed to beat video mode.

Interesting. I got to Power Down half a dozen times in eight months of ownership......only got past the first screen of the video mode once and didn't get anywhere on the second.

You sold???? Whaaa?????

I know right! Probably a mistake but Jurassic Park took its place. I really like JM but it was time to mix things up a little and nothing else I had was leaving. JP is VERY different but cool in its own way. More of a "novice crowd" favorite as well.

Quoted from kvan99:

JP for a JM? Oh boy. You'll soon know why there is always a JP for sale.

Yeah.....that's why JP is number 55 and JM is 72 on the top 100 here.

Maybe there's more for sale because they made 6,252 more JP's than JM's?

I will agree right up front that JM is much more of a "players" machine. JP has more broad appeal.....which I was kind of looking for. I don't think many around here would argue that they both sell for roughly the same price in equal condition. If I don't like it in the long run I'll simply move it along with no real loss.
