Like mentioned above.
If it has an option for built in Kegerator...will see. Need to play it first.

#20 5 years ago
Quoted from Pyromedic:

Done right, could be awesome.
Oktoberfest is the worlds largest party, and remember Pinball is HUGE in Europe too.
Das Boot! Multi-ball, Bring it!!![quoted image]

Actually your wrong.
Carnival in Rio is technically the worlds largest party. So damn big, they don't need other countries to make up there own versions.

#22 5 years ago
Quoted from LTG:

Octoberfest is much more than that.
American Pinball might surprise people.
LTG : )

Quoted from Coz:

You’re absolutely correct. I have not seen any details yet, I am open to trying new ideas and will definitely play it when it is available.

Cant wait to play it, see pics, and hope I really love it as much as Houdini.
But...I have a problem. I mentioned this Title to my wife several months ago....She flat out said no, not even letting me explain or justify.
She made me sell my "Big Betty's Truck Stop", really miss that one.

#31 5 years ago
Quoted from Frax:

See this is why I have to keep my wife around. She actively encourages me to buy the boob games. She wanted a Woah Nellie really bad until we all realized it doesn't play at all like an EM or sound like an EM.

Quoted from Wolfmarsh:

Did it? I know a lot of people that don't like the game because of the eye-rolling boob stuff. Melony? Come on.
My wife does roll her eyes at whoa Nellie, but so do I. I love boobs, but cartoon ones on a pin are pretty cheesy these days, in my opinion. To each his own.

Who doesn't love Boob Art?

#41 5 years ago
Quoted from vid1900:

Does it seem odd that AMERICAN Pinball chose a very un-American theme?

But Houdini was an All american Artist and Hero!
Wait, born in Budapest Hungry.
Wait Vid, the games are made in the good ol USA.

#77 5 years ago
Quoted from solarvalue:

Any other info? Expo reveal?

Josh mentioned yesterday for an Expo Chicago reveal.

#121 5 years ago

I think it would be awesome if the ramps or wire forms make the shape of a pretzel.

#198 5 years ago
Quoted from Rdoyle1978:

Wait Champion Pub has beer? I dont have one, where the beer mode?

Its not a very fun game. In a barcade every once in awhile, but to own. Gets old fast.

#204 5 years ago
Quoted from Rarehero:

The point that is almost always forgotten when discussing NEW games is that we were historically able to buy our favorite games with quirky themes or bad movies for like $2000 or less. Octoberfest will be what, like $8000? The higher the price, the more people have to be attached to the theme to depart with their money.

The good news. One model, one version. Minimal upgrades, same as Houdini. The single model game is a great idea by American pinball!

#205 5 years ago
Quoted from solarvalue:

Looks like it maybe has a third flipper with a side ramp:[quoted image]

3 Flippers confirmed a few months ago by Joe B. Ramps x2, wire forms appears to be 4.
Awesome code by Josh, confirmed!
Tapper video mode, unconfirmed but a must.

#207 5 years ago

Oh geez. Sorry bro. Yes, awesome code by ferret as well!

#214 5 years ago
Quoted from halflip87:

Can we get another coder at AP? Josh has enough going with Houdini polish and code fixes, add some more coders to go with warehouse expansion!
-Doug

Done, you missed the memo and Ferret and I jabbing above,

Ferret been on the Job for almost 3 months now. American pinball ahead of the curve again.

#278 5 years ago
Quoted from mcbPalisade:

American Pinball has yet to create either of those IMHO

The stage door is pretty innovative. I cant think of another pin that has this.

#291 5 years ago

I don't get the need to bash a game or company.....when you haven't even seen the game or played it.
No one is forcing you buy any game or play it. Save your quarters and move on.

#403 5 years ago
Quoted from Tuna_Delight:

Just because:
[quoted image]

I can only hope game has tons of these!

#475 5 years ago

Happy Oktoberfest everyone!
Officially started in Muchin today. Runs thru Oct 7th.
It also takes place on the first day of fall.
Started in 1810 with the marriage of King Ludwig.

Quoted from benheck:

...and it goes up every time Walt Disney's death reaches the limits. Lobbyists FTW?

Walt hasn't been dead 70 years yet. He also doesn't count. Trust and corporate.

Quoted from colonel_caverne:

5 days again to wait for seeing this one... I don’t know why i’m pretty excited!

Really looking forward for some great pictures of this game!
Wondering if it is a prototype like the two Houdini's that made the show circuit in early 17.
Please all at expo post tons of pictures.
I need ramps, playfield, art package, backglass!

#574 5 years ago
Quoted from Nepi23:

I am hoping that there is a beer tap integrated where you can connect some beer supply Extra ball would equal a free pint or something like that.

Built in Kegerator mod has been mentioned....someone has to make it!

#641 5 years ago

Well...it is just a flyer after watching Joes video...hey joe, turn machines on next time.
The oktoberfest flyer looks interesting, makes me want a beer.
Reminds me of the promotional translight for Houdini. We really wont know till next week the full look of game.

#668 5 years ago
Quoted from JodyG:

I see a 6-pack of targets...

I see a post between two white Targets that holds a wire form/ramp!
What do you see Billy?

#679 5 years ago
Quoted from rosh:

You know by now I can juggle multiple things at once, and if you are going to sneak a photo on to pinside, a least do it with art.
[quoted image]

How about a sneak peak of the shooter lane?

#698 5 years ago
Quoted from Ferret:

Alright, Pinside... y'all had one free bonus sneak peak request before Expo, and if this is what you want, your wish is our command.[quoted image]

Thank You Ferret!
Just what I wanted to know...I see now the wood rails are Black!
Last one...I promise.
Please post pic of the bottom 6 inches of a leg. This way we know the powder coat color.
Also, it will eliminate the rumor that AP invented a New pin foot!

#706 5 years ago
Quoted from Ferret:

I aim to please.[quoted image]

Not....no powder coat!

#708 5 years ago

This just went in fridge. Purchased this weekend. When I see pics of game on Thursday, Friday, this will get tapped.

Looks like foot powder on that sock.
LTG : )

I still say Goldbond doesn't count.

#711 5 years ago

It just needs a second pic. OMG, 5 liters, Im screwed.

Quoted from Wolfmarsh:

Dead flip is streaming it tonight.

Link? 830? Thanks.

#746 5 years ago
Quoted from Pinballpal:

That is not even a 12 pack. You should be able to finish that off no promblem .

It's going to make a great topper for the game too!

#798 5 years ago

No, apparently no one is getting it. OMG, 21st century guys!

#800 5 years ago
Quoted from cavalier88z24:

calm down. I will get close ups.
[quoted image]

Is that a Bigger screen/display than Houdini?

#817 5 years ago
Quoted from starbase:

Not sure if this was up yet.
[quoted image]

OMG...That's a busy Playfield!

#841 5 years ago

The upper cabinet head is huge. Different than Houdini.

#920 5 years ago

Why are all the women facing away from me? Slingshot plastics too! I get the attitude in today's society and I do respect women. I also respect there beauty and like to see them head on, and look at there eyes. A lot of ass in that backglass.

#970 5 years ago

After watching the Deadflip.....Wow..really cool fun game. Can't wait to play it.
Congratulations to AP for an amazing second pin!!!
Josh will continue to improve code and just like the last update of Houdini, the music will build and more will be added.

#1031 5 years ago
Quoted from colonel_caverne:

The only complain I get with this is...this screw very badly placed...

Needs a decal and pull the nut!
Josh I agree 100%, more cleavage.
Totally cool game.

#1071 5 years ago

I appreciate everyone's comments and it's duly noted but let's get to the Brass facts.
How many Oktoberfest are at Expo?
What's the price going to be?
When is the release date?

#1110 5 years ago

Josh is real good about the Music programming. As he said in his post, lots of music to come. There's even programming in Houdini to alter stuff. Wait for finished code to pass judgement on music yet.

#1222 5 years ago

Guys...I get it. You dont like the art. Many cant believe thats really a CD in the middle of the playfield on Monster bash, when a vinyl record looks so much better.
Its Oktoberfest ....
Move on nothing to see here...

#1297 5 years ago

I was told Thursday that I was first on the order list. Email sent at 630 am pacific before reveal. Recieved my confirmation later in day. Here's hoping its here before Christmas!

#1354 5 years ago

I would still like to see an Alternate backglass available. Maybe more Women, and people facing me. Yes, a little adult.

#1374 5 years ago
Quoted from rosh:

That's the plan

The Keg did look a Little naked....The only figure showing skin!....Now that's funny! LOL

#1458 5 years ago

Quoted from benheck:

AP is open to improving the art. I'm offering suggestions on how to do this as simply as possible (like removing the side characters)
If I really wanted to f**k AP I'd say "THIS IS FINE, GO FOR IT"

Hey Ben, I like you man and your experience and knowledge in pinball.
Never once did I go into the AMH thread and tell you how to improve the art package, that backglass, and gameplay.
Just saying.

Quoted from PismoArcade:

So, is the monkey translite now a rare collectable?

Maybe sold later as after market part in the AP store.

#1529 5 years ago

I see Oktoberfest comes with a subwoofer in cabinet. Nice addition for game 2!
Will it include a Knocker as well? The physical kind, not the art work kind.

#1532 5 years ago
Quoted from PinMonk:

Comes with two knockers.

If going there, I hope it has a hundreds of Knockerz.

Quoted from Yelobird:

Chuck is the man. Do hope API can work on animations for this game. Needs to be a bit less motion slide show. Going to wait and see/play the final product this time.

AND the music.....Just watching 5 minutes of video it gets old fast, and with long ball times it will really get old in Home environment.

#1654 5 years ago
Quoted from Zablon:

I never realized Oktoberfest was a widebody before.

I dont think it is a widebody???

Any end of year updates?

#1700 5 years ago
Quoted from rubberducks:

Regardless of whether it's final or not, it's a gigantic improvement.
Hope they give the playfield and plastics the same attention.
Whilst they're dealing with cosmetics ... PLEASE PLEASE remove that horribly ugly AP decal from the middle of the backbox. Have some little metal headbadges made (the colour logo doesn't look great anyway). They'd cost less than a $ per machine, and it'd look so much better and more professional.
Nobody but nobody liked it on Houdini, and replacements were sold.

Thank you. I make the replacement header.

Quoted from Zaquar:

It’s a step in the right direction for sure - look forward to seeing final.
Any idea on where those replacement badges can be found?

Just see my ad at end of my details.
Oktoberfest header coming.
Or tap my Biz name. Mod magic.

#1934 5 years ago

In this modern era why cant we select a soundtrack in settings?
Yes, I know, means more music has to be done for pin.
But yes, more music the better.

Quoted from f3honda4me:

The rock music kills it for me. There is an endless supply of music that would fit an Oktoberfest theme, and while some of it is there, the use of music outside of the theme kinda kills the theme. I love Oktoberfest and German heritage being German myself and in one of the most German states in the US. I joined a Pomeranian dance group and a Bavarian dance group at points in my life. I want to love this pin but the out of place music is a deal breaker.
Anyone know if we can mod the music in these pins ala cleland?

I have to some what agree with you.

#2019 5 years ago
Quoted from benheck:

The two color men walking around reminds me of this:

Seriously AP. Why do you spend millions making games and near zilch on one-time costs like art?

Really Ben, you want to be one of those negative nilly's?
At least wait till pin is done.
I dont know what grudge you have, maybe this gets it off your chest for negative comments on AMH.
You of all people should support your peers and the hard work that goes into making pinball.

#2177 5 years ago

Love to see Alternate plastics slings with these girls facing the camera!!!

pasted_image (resized).pngpasted_image (resized).png
#2180 5 years ago
Quoted from Aniraf:

What's wrong with those ones?

There Great! I love Black Hair and Redheads!

Quoted from PinMonk:

I think he's talking about optional nekkid versions.

No, still needs to be Family Friendly.
Guess I'll spell it out...I'd like to see front of the girls....umm there Chests! Trying to be tactful.

#2183 5 years ago
Quoted from benheck:

The fact that almost every woman in the artwork had their butts to camera was too consistent to not be deliberate.
My guess is butts are more "politically correct" (or more importantly wife-friendly) than boobs.

Dammit Ben we need more Boobs, I said it!
I also say you are dead on correct. These plastics would have been in development mid last year. We are all a little uptight in our #metoo society right now.
An alternate set needs to be sold in there Store after release. Not asking for flagrant tits in my face here. But there is a good reason Bally/Williams had all those big chested babes on pinball machines!! It puts quarters in the slots!! Was just at an arcade Sat that had Future Spa and Skateball, wow some great artwork.

#2225 5 years ago

Is there a Duck Hunt video mode?

Quoted from Rdoyle1978:

not sure.. but I did hear about the ducks!!

Quoted from chuckwurt:

Did anyone mention ducks yet?
DUCKS.

#2231 5 years ago
Quoted from Ferret:

There is a Duck Hunt mode, but it's not a video mode

Is there any Video Modes?
I like the card toss in Houdini.

#2236 5 years ago

Yes, Tap It is a video mode.

Quoted from acaciolo:

Thanks @rosh @pinballer31520 and @ferret for your help with the dimensions for the Oktoberfest machine. I built the topper today out of approx 60 year old beer signs (customized with some photos of me with a group of friends and others I wish were friends at Oktoberfest) from my Dad's beer distributor in Allentown, PA.
Now all I need is the machine to put it on. How long til Pinfest?!

That is Awesome. Love the rotating panel. Nice pics on side 2! Clever, well done!

#2606 5 years ago

Just sayin'.

A must Buy with this art package...

#2697 5 years ago
Quoted from acaciolo:

Absolutely agree 100%. I woudln't be buying it if it was just beer. That is kinda boring. And for the boobs...well, I already have an alternative backglass in the works like I did for bm66 https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/nsfw-bm66-batman-alternate-translite-censored

That's Great Work!
With Oktoberfest it didnt need the playboy treatment, just a Little more and lower cut outfit. Maybe even nip slip would be to much, but cant say I wouldn't mind.

#2714 5 years ago
Quoted from Ferret:

, so what’s a couple more?

More boobs!

#2744 5 years ago
Quoted from iceman44:

Back legs all the way in the best setup for this game? That's a first for me but I'm getting mine this week and want it to play its best!

Joe Balcer designed Houdini and now I believe Oktoberfest to have game out of box with leg levelers all the way up, nut touching leg. Should be right on paperwork when you open box.

#2748 5 years ago
Quoted from Platypus:

unless your floor isn't level. Adjust as needed.

True, check your pitch.
All the way up is the starting point.
