I can only hope game has tons of these!

Lord have mercy, this game needs a whole lot of that!
"Family friendly" needs to include big ass titties on hotties drinking beer. THAT is Oktoberfest!
Which btw New Braunfels has one of the best annual celebrations! Right around the corner
Quoted from MattElder:Exactly. Most everyone seems to have gotten past the theme of Dialed In.
Nope.
Quoted from Kolchak357:Maybe the beer level could decrease as your score increases.
Backwards, goal should be to fill the beer, IMO.
image (resized).jpgReally looking forward to this pin. As someone said, the superhero theme is getting a little old, and I'm a huge marvel guy. I was in munich last year with daughter, an absolute blast. I would love to see some innovation like in champion pub. As for offensive, how could it be worse than whoa nellie? Now to dig out the pictures of the korean girls in bavarian outfits I took, smokin.
pinside (resized).jpgWhile I think Whoa Nellie is a prime example of pinball art, I think it's way over the top in the sexual neediness department. Even the dog lusts for "Mellony" (ugh) for Christ's sake.
Boobs and beer are fine, but hopefully AP will keep it at a reasonable level.

That's kind of the point. It's supposed to be completely over the top.

I don't think that it's over the top. I consider Whoa Nellie art
par with classics such as Strikes and Spares.

Waiting semi patiently...

Of course.
In college we had a house dog that could always tell if a girl was menstruating.
That thing saved everyone A LOT of frustration.

WTF? How did the dog communicate that to you guys? Lol

If you have a Logan's Roadhouse nearby, check out the art on the walls near the entrance. They're about as over the top as Whoa Nellie, which I found surprising.
What's up with his gun? Is that an air-horn or confetti cannon or some thing?
I also wonder what other toys "Adult Collector" puts out.
You guys that like to put dolls on top of you games are going to go crazy with this title
Your wives are going to say "I thought you were gay before with the Simpsons dolls, but this....wow....just wow."

Houdini, Oktoberfest are more European themes even if the notoriety is worldwide. Thanks for that
I recently traded my Tron LE with Houdini, and very interested in this one. Do it right. Mid-end of 2019?

At ReplayFX / Pinburgh, they said they intended to show it at Expo, and then have it available to buy within a month. Previously they'd said before the end of the year.
Guessing it won't be as fast as a month, but certainly not mid to end of 2019, unless things go badly wrong.
They have the second much larger facility which is supposed to come on line at the end of the year. It'll be useless if they don't have anything to build for 6 months (I got the impression they intend to operate the old and new one).

TOGA! TOGA! TOGA!
Or whatever the equivalent is in German...
Oktoberfest is quite popular here in the states.
just got this in my inbox for san diego

In Germany, the 2018 (185th) Oktoberfest runs from September 22 through October 3.
I always say Americans have no idea when Oktoberfest is...lol
Quoted from ultimategameroom:Can’t wait to see this machine!
Hope it has Das Boot incorporated ...

Perhaps there will be an ***moderated*** wizard mode?
Only in the pinball industry would it be deemed acceptable for a game called Oktoberfest to actually come out in January.
Quoted from Ericpinballfan:Tapper video mode, unconfirmed but a must.
I thought of this, but decided to search this thread to make sure nobody else mentioned it.. I agree, Tapper video mode is a must. Each flipper button toggles between lanes, start button pours beer (there is no running to pickup empty mugs or money because that would require more buttons).
Sidenote: What if this is all a ruse for the real theme, which of course is strange brew

Dawnt ya naw! eh?
Rosh said he was taking good ideas here.
What would you want to see in this game, about hardware and software?
Personnaly, i would like this game to be a 2 ramps one (why not in bretzel design?) with diverters, I like diverters (on ramps and also on the playfield), interactive toy with the ball (hard to say what it could be as Rosh said it was Oktoberfest at large, glass of beer, carousel...?), some 3d molded decors ( sooooo much cool than 2D plastics), availability of stacking 2 multiball.
Quoted from ultimategameroom:Hope it has Das Boot incorporated ...
Why?

What are you guys talking about - what is a tapper? Something to do with tapping a keg?
Thanks - so nothing to do with Oktoberfest. I thought maybe we were talking about the Anstich in the Schottenhamel tent - the tapping of the first keg by the mayor of Munich to officially start the festival - would make a worthy start to each game.

What would you recommend that is OKTOBERFEST that would resonate with the rest of the world? Love to hear your thoughts Dude.

Sounds painful. Besides, I think American Pinball said they wanted a family friendly pinball experience.

To a German our comments must seem bizarre. Das boot is a part of the competitive drinking events in the movie Beerfest. It combines German and English language:
1)Das German for the word The
2)Boot English for boot/large shoe.
It’s basically the biggest most Badass beer drinking vessel I’m aware of.
A local pub has a few they breakout for Oktoberfest celebrations when they tap German marzen/fest beers. The rule there is if you don’t order food you can’t get one cause you’re gonna catch a wicked Buzz.
I believe most hold (2) liters or almost a 6 pack!!!
It makes a liter mug look like something a Girly man would drink out of.
