My wife wanted me to cancel my LAX plans and go to Florida with her for the weekend, can't say I wasn't tempted but I was pretty sure this game was going to be there so I'm happy I'll get to play it again!

was going to post this. Also not sure what backglass is on there, but it is likely not production, but might be very close to production. It is a production playfield.
The code on that machine is test code, so not quite production yet, but pretty close to what will be on the machines when they ship. Ferret and I are in the process right now of cleaning up things, fixing bugs, adding in more animations, lightshows, voice calls, etc. I expect we will give Zach some new code right before the show. I consider this 'location testing', so don't be totally shocked if some oddness happens, but overall I think things are pretty solid and the modes/rules are very close to being all there. Having said that, one of the outlane modes, Re-Entry, has been described by those who have played it as 'meh', so it will likely see changes, the other one, Last Call, I think is going to be quite popular. I also predict Duck Derby, which is a mini-wizard mode is going to be very popular as well (so collect lots of ducks)
As always, feel free to share feedback, not that I really have to say that, this is pinside after all.

Thanks - that was my second thought after seeing Lloyd's post!
Looking forward to seeing more of Oktoberfest!
Quoted from AUKraut:Zach you saving me a place in front of the line to play it??? Your van is going to be full.....going to need a bigger van!!
Haha that’s no lie
Quoted from billsfanmd:So that cab pic is not final art?
Correct. Production cabinets will not have the characters on the side and will offer additional details.
Argh... I wish I had a game I wasn’t getting along with that I could sell to make room for Oktoberfest!!!

Check out post #1686
If not final, might be closer to final.

That makes more sense. As much as I like the characters, reading "Oktob..." could diminish the draw towards the game name.
Quoted from HOOKED:Any word on playfield art update yet?
To my knowledge, production playfields are done.

The game Zach is getting, has the production playfield. We will post some images soon.

Are there New plastics to???
Quoted from Ericpinballfan:Are there New plastics to???
The plastics was the only thing I had an issue with, i thought the playfield was fine.
Can't wait to see it. If I wasn't moving this weekend I would have been at the show.
Will one make its way to the Jacksonville Expo the following weekend? I'll be there.
I am looking forward to flipping the latest rendition of OKF and see what they have improved on since Expo. The initial release showed good potential, the build seemed good, and quality seemed as high or better than Houdini. Game flow and artwork tweeks were the only real issues that my friends and I agreed needed some work. Shots and mechs seemed to be layed out and well engineered compared to Houdini, but we only played about 10 games and didnt get a look under the hood. Our biggest complaint on flow was the long roller coaster wireform that takes forever for the ball to weedle down. Not like the ramps on a new Munsters at all. Hope they shortened it or made it roll a little faster.

I’m not familiar with Munsters - what is it about the ramps?
I really liked the long, slow roll down the roller-coaster ramp, it's different. I wouldn't want every shot or even every other shot doing it but used properly I think it's cool. I can see it being an advantageous shot during MBs to (I have no idea if this is possible or not in the code) have the ball take a while to get back to you so you can get control or hit another shot while waiting for it.

Agreed. Also there are modes where you loop the ramp so it doesn’t hold then drop. I’m sure it returns faster in that scenario. Good mix up from the Uber fast screamer games.
I think this game can have a good mix of stop and go, and fast shots.

Actually, the lock release device has a nifty interlock on it that prevents any balls but the one being released from exiting the lock. However, the flip side of that is we can’t let balls just roll through.
I like the Rube Goldberg effect of starting Corkscrew MB — the ball releases are timed so that all three are spiraling around the wireform at the same time, it’s fun to watch. (Just don’t watch TOO long, as the balls do pick up speed when they reach the flipper!) If you were shooting that wireform 10 times a ball, yeah, the length might be frustrating, but the way it’s used avoids that IMHO.

Thanks for the clarification. I loved getting that MB started when I played it st Pincinnati. Looking forward to playing again tomorrow night.

WHAT? You didn't like mustache girl? I swear I saw her at a bar in SF my last trip...lol

Things have changed on the plastics, really not sure how much, have not really compared. The Schnurrbart wettbewerb (mustache competition) plastic is still there, but the woman has been moved to the back part, so not nearly as visible. I tried to get her removed completely, I found it a touch disturbing, but the artist was not inclined to do so, but at least she got moved to be less prominent.

This woman needs a mustache ride, don't be disturbed!

If Mustache Girl gets canned from employment, she might have to upgrade to Bearded Lady status to make ends meet, and that would be an entirely higher level of freaky deeky.
Long live Mustache Girl!

Mustache girl has been escorted out to live with handsy McMonkey. Lol
Me too. I gotta "kick the tires" before I put down an order. It is one of the primary reasons I'm going to TPF.

Only one! good luck getting a play on it.
Quoted from jaytrem:but what happened to the bumper car drivers?
rosh might know.
I wouldn't worry. Worst case scenario and Yelobird will whip up some mods if Matt from Back Alley Creations doesn't.

Hmm, Loni Anderson steps into the backglass? Definitely a different illustration there.
I really like that there's artwork on the apron near the drain! And the hands on the apron are a nice touch too!
API has consistent and really nice artwork all over their games. This looks really playful and fun! Can't wait to get to give it a go!
My wife complains about women with big beasts in pinball graphics. Now we have guys with big bellys. all's fair.

Would there be an option to get this plastic or sticker in English? i think that would help to explain the girl with the mustache otherwise it's still a weird girl with a mustache since most people can't read that.
It's definitely still looks great love all the color. Can't wait to play one.
Zack, Houdini can get rather intense with seance, trunk ball, extra ball, etc...does Oktoberfest step up to the plate as well?

A ton to do! Blast to shoot. The game is jam-packed and has a lot of charm.
Stay tuned for the SDTM unboxing and some gameplay

Videos? Wouldn't mind an audio version...
Quoted from Platypus:The wire forms are awesome.
the wire forms obscure the view of the playfield.
