I can't remember offhand how mine's wired, but I did have the same problem. I solved it by replacing the wires back to the connector (I think there's just a 2 pin molex under there). I didn't like the credit dot, but I also remember reading somewhere that the BIH switch works kind of like an EOS switch on a flipper. Leaving it disconnected could wear the magnet faster (or overheat it and melt the glove). Not as likely to get locked on I suppose.
