The glove was stuck on a JM I recently purchased. The opto wheel was stuck on the opto. I put a couple of washers under the opto board and it spins freely. It did not work properly in test mode and fail. It ultimately got stuck again but now hits the top of that motor that sticks out. Any ideas? Could it be missing a part?

It looks like the entire assembly needs to be rebuilt. You definitely do not need any extra parts to make it work as intended.

A guide for rebuilding can be found here: https://blondihacks.com/johnny-cyberglove-rebuild/

Thanks for the guide, i am going to take it off and rebuild. my opto wheel is a little bit bent up. I see Marco sells one but it’s nylon not metal. Is the original metal

Can anybody give me any guidance on where the wires should go and if they should go above or below the thin rod. When the glove activated it pushed all the wires back and bunched them up.

I’m still trying to get this glove working properly. it seems as though the hand is having trouble finding the home position. When the ball goes into the up kicker the hand magnet is not over top of it but down the axis. I’ve been messing with it for hours and just can’t seem to get things right. I took the whole backboard off everything spins every same thing seems to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated

When I go into hand test I can move the glove smoothly on both axises. I don’t think there’s anything wrong mechanically. if I go into X motion direction or X motor enable nothing happens. I can hear a clicking in X motion From under the playfield in x motion direction. When I start a game and hit the ball into the up kicker the glove does not move back to receive the ball.

That clicking under the playfield is a relay board that controls direction. Pull it and check for cracked solder joints.

I finally got that glove working like it should. It was a few issues but the main problem was the positioning of the glove which was due to one of the opt is not working
