I've never seen a JM box but you generally can drill out the rivots and carefully clean the gears. If that is not an option you could spray in a ton of a degreaser like w-d40 through the motor hole and then flush it with 99% alcohol followed by new machine oil. I'd prefer to get grease in there like super lube. Pinball Resources may repair/replace it if you don't touch it first.
