maybe the game will be priced to compete with stern at the premium/pro area? stern has this segment of the market cornered. good news for pinball.

my guess is that after hobbit all new games jjp produces will be standard.enjoy your widebodies while you can...last call imo.
Quoted from Aurich:I sure hope so, because these prices are getting out of control, and instead of competition lowering them, it's more like every raise gives the other manufacturers the impetus to keep pace. I get that JJP wants to provide a 'premium' experience, but there's a point where paying $9k plus for a pinball just gets ridiculous. It's still a toy no matter how nice.
That said, people always overprice what these playfield toys cost. They're not thousands of dollars. Leaving off a few isn't gonna slash the BOM. The prices are what they are.
This isn't a shot at Jack (because the Jack police are on my trail!) but I really don't think Stern would have priced their new LEs so high without seeing people pay for WOZ.
As much as I don't really like the Pro/Prem model, it's sure handy now that prices are raising so fast.
thanks once again for your musings. the only reason prices are rising is because the market is allowing this. your opinion/ logic/ common sense is irrelevant in the reality of what is being supported by customers.
Quoted from MrDo:Stern would also not have an MSRP of $8,500.00 if it weren't for Jack.
Thanks Jack!
you're welcome suckers! i guess we are the enablers, can't blame companies for getting greedy when the money piles in like it has been. i would love to be in the position to sheer the suckers myself and keep pushing up prices while cheapening on the components. all the while having people bending over and taking it repeatedly saying thank-you in the process!
Quoted from Chambahz:If your friends have concerns, then they should call Jack and speak with him directly.
If they like what they hear, great. If not, ask for a refund.
People like you, who are essentially just stirring up crap, are the problem.
Unless you have real news, commenting like this can be dangerous.
I for one wish JJP much success and appreciate his making a go on this.
Let's be supportive and not destructive.

all problems end with results...period. if problems persist who's fault is that? comments will stop when evidence dictates otherwise. so keep all the dirt under the carpet and eliminate discussion? i think we need more crap stirrers and less crap takers.
Quoted from gambit3113:If one doesn't want his finances to be public concern, then one shouldn't put out admittedly "ambiguous" press releases about his finances. Nevermind what should be expected when pulling the press release down. Square those feet in the sights some more.
thank-you.
boobs n stooges, nice combo. i haven't read everything to give me an answer, maybe someone can fill me in.
does jjp still have investors onboard?
,
Quoted from SilverBallz:just because you don't want to read it anymore, doesn't mean you should try to close it down. Just don't click on it again.
Jack has yet to directly answer the question. Is it our business ... probably not, but then he shouldn't have given that ambiguous answer to begin with.
maybe ted could be a mod some day? sure would be a great place..every thread loaded with gifs with zero substance and no spirited dialogue
jjp publicly announced investors were coming on board a while ago. now there are doubts, why not publicly address this?
Quoted from vid1900:Unless the boy was Amish or something, I'm sure he has had a stack of Hustler mags hidden somewhere since he was 9 years old.
Every boy has a pile of them.
Every boy knows where his dad's **secret** stash of trash is.
And in the world of the internet, I'm sure he has a bunch of pics and .avi on his cellphone in a hidden directory.
maybe the point is the "trash" doesn't have to appear everywhere in our lives. yesterday morning i was reading pinside enjoying my coffee when my daughter walks by and sees me loling at the topless chick playing with her monster melons. she now thinks pinside is a place where creepy old men post trash. i had no rebuttal but to say it was a joke and not every pinball guy is creepy like that.
Quoted from markmon:There needs to be a system in place to punish those that break rules to get threads closed. I guess some folks don't have the mental abilities to logically discuss and debate issues so they have to break site rules to get a thread closed because they have no other way to "win" an argument?
maybe breaking out the ban hammer will prevent people posting porn gifs to close down threads if they don't agree with the topic, nature or tone of the discussion. we have moderators for shutting things down, no need to have clowns forcing their will on the pinside community.
