For anyone curious, Jack only mentioned POTC in passing during his seminar at the Rocky Mountain Pinball Showdown this afternoon. No comments (or questions) on the decision to change the spinning disc(s).

Stern usually produces LEs early in the production cycle.
I much prefer the JJP approach where the CEs are produced later in the cycle after all the little production changes/improvements are figured out.
