Quoted from PinMonk:I'll be putting it on a route machine. It's ALMOST done and then I can install it. Went a little crazy with the design. (Before you say anything, some of the graphic keys are wrong ATM. The wiring works, though. )
I think it'll hold up fine, but I'll be the first to tell you if it doesn't.

Looks professional, neat, and organized. Well done.
I received my trunk mod. Question for those that installed it already: Would it be easier to install this with the playfield out of the machine? (service rails setting on saw horses) I'm guessing that removing the trunk lid might be the only thing easier. I have a bunch of other mods to install including ModCouple stuff, Pinball Mod Co stuff, cliffys, side blades mylar in the starfield area, etc. and will remove the playfield to make most of this easier. Since I'm doing that anyway, I'm looking for the easiest way to do it.
Quoted from harryhoudini:Man, crazy how some games are slightly different than others. I can make a different lid which has the tab moved over a bit to clear that piece more. I've seen oddities like this on a few JJP games for different reasons (like someone I was just talking to had their playfield sit higher in the game than any other one I've dealt with).
volunteerpin your rod does look a bit too long, but not sure that will change the orientation of the rod at the lid. I can send you a lid which has the tab moved towards the right more (away from the coil) to help with the clearance issue. It makes the rod have to bend more but that isn't a huge problem.
Let me know if either you or meadowhawk want to try a different lid orientation. You'll need to swap lighting over and the ball joint but that is easy.
I have an early version not yet installed and was just about to order the updated lid for it. Should I hold off for this next version? I'm not in a rush, but was going to install it soon to stay busy. Let me know ... I can wait if it is better.
I still need to install mine one day also. Maybe over Christmas week. This will be tough to figure out after this long with the different tweaks that were made to the design. I bought a upgrade for the lift gizmo, so I probably have 2 options for it. The original design and the upgraded design. Over time, which one worked better?
