The idea is to have a little "wave" action wrapping around the outside of the maelstrom ramp. This would be just big enough to cover the switch that is there (hiding it, which is the point) but snug enough to the ramp to keep view obstructions to a minimum. I'm investigating producing this now, we'll see how it goes.

Here's a preview of the new Maelstrom Switch Delete mod mount. The switch mounting will be invisible, with a thin actuator sticking out just slightly past the front of the edge of the ramp just enough to make contact with the ball.

Btw, the wave is going to be much more narrow than in the concept because now it only needs to cover the left over tab.

Here's a first test print. Got a lot of changes but you can get the idea. Might be able to do some cool, interactive lighting under the wave (lights up with the ramp needs to be shot or maybe when the ball comes around the loop). Might be able to do red when it's time for multiball or blue when it is other shots. Dunno. Trying to see what looks best for how the wave wraps around. It's too bulky right now and doesn't curve over the top enough (too much flat area on top). Working on some changes and then another test print.

The switch delete is basically done. Seems like it will be about a 5 minute plug and play mod and could be used with or without the wave. I think some people are enterprising enough to just cut off the ramp tab and leave it. Otherwise don't want to and/or want the wave look. The wave will be painted blue/white to match the ramp sticker and will be translucent.
