Hello all. I’ve just picked up a RR Woz and I didn’t notice in my excitement that the bottom left corner of the lcd seem to be very dull.
All the pictures I’ve taken don’t really show how it looks in person but it does show a problem. Sometimes I can’t see the horses properly.

Lcd faulty and need replacing?

The lcd monitor has back panel illumination. It appears the segments in the bottom left corner went out. It is only slightly visible because of the surrounding light. Unfortunately there is no quick or inexpensive fix. Looks like a replacement monitor is the only solution. Lcd monitors have a shelf life like any TV monitor. I would call JJP and ask the cost for a replacement monitor. I'm sure it will be very expensive going through them but at least you know it will be plug and play. You could take a measurement of the back monitor and look on best buy or other online retailers sites for a replacement. Go to specifications and check the measurements to see if it will fit your game. Sorry I do not have better news. If you just bought the game the previous owner could have known about this issue. Perhaps he will split the cost with you. If you bought it recently I'm sure this game was not cheap. Good luck hope all works out. It's a great game.

There is a post in another thread regarding JJP monitors that references a HP 27f as a good replacement.

I’d probably understand the lcd having a shelf life it it was 5 years or more in age. This game was built late 2019 and has hardly been used.

That hurts.

It may have happened during transport of the game, shit happens unfortunately. You could try to open it up and see if perhaps the led segment in that corner came loose, has a loose connection, etc.
