Quoted from julien_06480:

Wanted to know if you have checked that the power adapter provided with the 2.0 kit provides enough power for those new 22 boards + other WOZ 2.0 boards. If new boards are really more brighter than JJP GIs ones, there is some important probability that they require more power.

Like I said in the original post, everything has been studied and tested. It is well within the spec of every components.
The PSU provided with the 2.0 kit is a Meanwell 4.2v 60A capable. That’s plenty enough to handle the new LED’s.
Actually you will be limited by the LED drivers before being limited by the PSU.

The test batch I am receiving in 2 weeks is also done for that: taking pictures and also double checking everything is fine before production.

Hey everyone,

It's finaly the delivery day for my PCB test batch. They are on delivery today so expect to see before/after pictures by this week-end

This will finally tell how much it improves GI brightness and if it needs any modifications/improvements.

Stay tuned !

Hey guys,

Just a little follow up to let you kniw that i have switched all of the PCB led on my WOZ and took a lot of pictures to reflect the difference as accurate as possible.
I also took a small video and will try edit it but that's not part of my main talents

Final post with before/after pictures is slightly delayed as i am running out of time today so please be a little more patient

Wish you a good pinball sunday.

Hi everyone,

First, i wanna thank you for your patience cause i know i am 24/48h late on what was planed for the Before/After pictures but i had to edit the pictures and also let the machine run for hours to see if any heavy heating was produced.

Yes i know i told that i will post raw pictures with no edit but i had to because of the increased LED power. The brigthness rendered on the pictures was way too much so i tried to stick to reality and compared what i was really seeing and waht was rendred on the camera.

The final result is more or less what i was expecting, even if i would have expected more with the white but you really notice the difference.
*The outlane/inlane are way more visible, the ligth is also diffusing to the center.
*The 2 orbits, specially the left one, are definitely less dark.
*The upper right zone (Emerald City) is also super lit now.
* The castle doors, when opened, are now brigther

You can't do miracles in the center area as there is only a few GI here, that's why i was warning from the beginning to not expect a Pinstadium... it was not the plan anyway
You can still add a 12v spot on top of each sling shot to improve this darker area if you plan to play in a full dark room.

I am very happy i finally finished this mod and will let people decide if they are still interested based on this pictures

I will try to edit a video but it's definitely not one of my best skills

Waiting for your feedback guys.

Those look great! And for those unaware, it's really difficult to get true-to-life pictures of pinball illumination. It's way-too-easy to game your camera settings to get the effect you want to show, and some sellers are unscupulous about this (*cough* Pinstadium *cough*). I appreciate your effort to show the real impact. I think this kit will be a definitive improvement in the one area the 2.0 lighting falls short. Thank you!

Thanks for working on this to get it to this point!!!

One big question for me... is the white 'cool' or 'warm' ?

It looks cooler in your photos, but that could be just that they are brighter. Thanks.

You guessed it right, it's just because of their brightness but the White is same as original.

These are 3 LED in 1 package(RGB), so white is done by combining the 3 colors. It's not like RGBW LED's that have a dedicated Wite led in their package where you can act on the color by implementing different temperatures from 2700K to 6500K.
