Steve Ritchie is at JJP now? Man, I must be out to lunch. Is he the head designer of Toy Story?

Quoted from shaub:It was actually the 2nd one: "The Dark Knight" but your point stands.
At least it was based on the good one.
Quoted from LTG:Wish I knew. We may never know.
Of course I haven't gotten a response from my friend Bob either, in over five months.
The mysteries continue.
LTG : )
If this is how they treat a great guy by all accounts, who is not only known to, but is also a legend in the pinball community, you can only imagine how they treat their slave wage production employees.
Quoted from romulusx:Slave wage?Really and I’m sure Stern pays them like their Doctors of pinballology
Never insinuated that.
Quoted from KornFreak28:You guys crack me up with all this talk and speculation about prices and number of units made. Obviously, nobody knows for sure at this point! No wonder prices keep climbing! Chill!!!!!
Yes. Very clear the Fed has a whole lot more tightening to do.
Are people really looking forward to owning a game with a theme for 8 year olds or are they most excited at the prospect of flipping for profit?
Quoted from Hoss_Coog:Or a Beatles Let it Be edition with Yoko Ono multiball and custom Yoko Ono callouts.
That would be an improvement on the game they made.
JJP charges 15K for a pinball machine and then tries to take a moral stand by charging a $1000 transfer fee to prevent flipping. Mmm..k.
Quoted from SantaEatsCheese:Godzilla Pro would absolutely bring more people in to buy Beer. However, Toy Story would bring more people in to buy pizza and attract more Birthday parties. One group has and spends alot more money though... and has transportation of their own.
I doubt it. On the whole, brats are into 2 second redemption games, not pinball.
Quoted from fooflighter:If panic is setting in before even receiving it just based on flipper losses, then the game in all honesty wasn't probably purchased with the correct long term intentions. No one want's to take a bath on a pin, but if the theme and what you saw that inspired you to put down a non-refundabe deposit was adequate at the time, don't let a decreasing profit margin on a flip, change your mind. Be happy with the purchase. If money was put down in advance of the title, ie TS vs TS4 then that's on the speculator at that point and I'd say they have no argument. I look at this as good news for the hobby. The FOMO train is slowing down and as more flippers get burned and inventory stacks up, the games will have to prove themselves going forward before requesting such a high dollar blind trust and investment. Buy the pin you want, play the pin first (unless it is an end all grail theme for you - exeption to the rule), don't worry about the perceived value and enjoy your game as if the price were always going to fall and it is assumed to be a depreciable commodity. If it makes a profit if you decide to change your collection in the future, then that's a bonus, not a rule. Just my $.02
That is until BTTF comes out.
