Quoted from PtownPin:

My guess is its a really fun pin to shoot, animations will be great (best in pinball), and launch code will be great (as always).....just not sure its JJP pricing great?

I bet there are zero custom animations of the characters in this pin. Just clips from the film and after effects motion.

Somebody retheme Cactus Canyon as Woody’s Roundup.

Quoted from PghPinballRescue:

Etch-A-Sketch is not a Disney-owned property. It is owned by Rose Art.
To use Etch-A-Sketch would require Disney to relicense it from Rose Art, then sell that license to us.

That's not necessarily true. It entirely depends on the specifics of their particular deal with Mattel. (Not Rose Art) Only in the last year did Rose-Art regain freedom and separate from it's parent company Mattel. And if that deal was relatively open-ended with it's merchandise usage...it would not require a relicense.

The whole thread is a Halloween repeat. See you on the other side guys.

Quoted from Hollywoodbone:

Awwww that’s a little harsh. Maybe pull that bag off your head. Things look a little clearer that way! I mean you haven’t even heard us talk about the game yet! Sad and off putting when your expected to shit on every game that comes out.

Agreed. But your theme integration score should reflect what this could of and should of been...not just "how well did this game encapsulate the single Toy Story 4 film". The official title of the game is "Toy Story". Not "Toy Story 4".

Quoted from BallyKISS1978:

Actually Halloween is fun and was not $15k for the CE. And came with a lot more. So don’t even drag spooky into this mess.

Pre-orders with little information of gameplay. Sells out immediately. Large amount of preorder spots for sale on pinside. That is the crux of my comparison. Not a comment of Halloween as a game.

Watching Pat Lawler talk about the story moments in Toy Story 4 that warranted multiballs and the daredevil motorcycle jump was oh so painful. If you don’t understand the theme Pat, you shouldn’t have been the designer for the game.

To the people that bought this for your kids or grandkids…you are out-of-touch and have no idea what they want or enjoy.

Toy Story 4, the only one of the films that has no attraction presence at the magic kingdom.

It’s not a mystery. The Toy Story fans young and old wanted to defeat this guy while he taunts and shoots pinballs back at them:

Quoted from Thunderbird:

Right on! Now you’re talking about what most all of us were looking for in a Toy Story machine. Buzz, Woody, Jessie, Mr. Potato head, T Rex etc, fighting Emperor Zurg, not collecting tickets. Lol!

Yep. Emperor Zurg should have been on one side of a turntable like in Champion’s pub. (Except in the very back of the playfield)
And the other side of the turntable should have been another bash toy villain like Lotso the Bear.

This theme designs itself…except apparently JJP and Disney got in the way. Something has changed inside JJP. Something broke.

Quoted from McDoom:

Personally, I was hoping to see some sort of claw toy mechanism which would let you pick up those little green dudes that said ohhhhh and wow![quoted image]

Yeah. At least a simple Williams-era left right flipper tap video mode would have worked for that claw pickup too.

Quoted from RobbyIRL5:

Better question is how many people have actually played it and really don’t like it?

Such a lame argument. As if we can’t tell when a game is fire or when it’s a lame duck from video playthroughs, from an empty play field, from a lack of mechs and subways, and from a third flipper that has nowhere to go.

Add upon that a misuse of a franchise theme…
The good news is it’s The Godfather. The bad news is it’s The Godfather part 3. -Eyeroll-

Quoted from Vernisious:

The haters are hilarious broke hoes. They wanted to buy it for 9.5 and sell it for 12. They come here to bash gameplay/layout but really just want to justify why they can't afford the going rate of sought after games. Toy Story 4 is a great game already. Just like Godzilla was right out of the gate. I wish the price was lower on a lot of games but to complain of empty playfield when people haven't played it. It's actually packed with shots. It's embarrassing and sad to constantly see crybabies bash a title they can't afford.

“You guys are just jealous of us and our money”.
That is funny.

The official name of this game is “Toy Story” not “Toy Story 4”. Wrap your head around that!
