Unless the game sucks, I assume they'll offer 1000+ CE's. CE's are more profitable and to their credit, they've always tried to offer CE quantities to match demand. Unfortunately with GNR they under-estimated (for the first time).

Quoted from arcadenerd925:It all boils down to risk tolerance. It's totally fine your not willing to take that risk, but others are and I dont think that is BS, its just their choice. Picking up a used game down the road without the demonstrated issue is certainly a viable option.
It's a toy. It's a big box of lights you should be playing. It's not an investment.
Quoted from OB1Kenobi:This reeks of bad decisions and failure to understand your core audience which has dominated the Bob Chapek era of Disney. It is obvious that Disney pushed JJP to make the game based on Toy Story 4, and JJP knew that they would only sell a limited number of them, so jack the price up to $12K each so they don't take a huge loss.
While the price hike SUUUuuuuccckkkkkkss, thankfully this game is indeed being sold by JJP.
If Stern had made this, faced with comparing prices of their existing games, Stern would 'need' to price this Toy Story game LE for $18k and the for CE $25k.
Quoted from mstang01:I don’t like the wonka sound at all, I don’t have any other jjp’s to compare with but I turn wonka down. It’s more sound quality for me, hurts my head. I’ve thought about the pinwoofer upgrade but for now I just plug a Bose revolve into the front jack when I want to hear it and it sounds 100x better.
I hate the sound in casinos but I love the music and sounds in JJP Wonka. They represent the movie and theme perfectly.
I initially passed on BOTH Wonka and POTC due to all the pinside whining and negativity. Fortunately, I bought them months later after getting a chance to play them. They are bolted down.
This post-launch bitching and whining is entirely predictable at this point.
Fooled me twice but based on the JJP quality I see in gameplay videos, I'm all-in on Toy Story.
Quoted from PanzerFreak:Kaneda brought up a good point today "Nothing that divisive is good" and that's what is sadly happening here with Toy Story 4. This is the opposite to the reaction that Godzilla and Guns N Roses received for example.
Two things are causing this divisiveness, the choice to call the game Toy Story 4 along with restricting assets to just the 4th film and a lack of mechanical features as well as molds on a $12k - $15k pinball machine.
Same comments were made for GNR. "It's missing 'Crazy' song. It's new concert concert footage instead of late 80's. It's a stripped standard width game but still costs same as POTC CE."
It's the same whining... and that was BEFORE the hobby went stupid.
Quoted from Dr-pin:The threads on this game is to a complete stand still and there seem to be alot of sellers.
'
Is this game a disaster?
No, but TS4 didn't meet everyone's Disney-imagineering-mechanical-hopes-and-dreams but it's a very high quality game and super fun.
But pinball prices ballooned too fast and there are many more sellers than buyers. I've never seen so many overpriced, non-selling games on pinside before.
There are 27 sale ads for Godzilla alone right now.
Quoted from Dr-pin:I think pinball buyers can bare with high prices, but it has to come with the feeling that the game and what´s in there must motivate it.
It's okay to pass on a game due to theme, collection balance, cost, whatever.....
But saying Toy Story is empty relative to other games is not rational. It's an emotional response or self-justification for missing out.
Quoted from Freakyguy666:The main complaint is not that this isn’t “fun” or “attractive” to kids….it is that people are getting thru to the main Wizard mode far too quickly and there is virtually no difference between completing the game with Buzz or Woody…so not much incentive to keep playing in the long run…
Those comments are ridiculous. The current code is fantastic and feels like a well-tuned Bally Williams game with more depth and greater variety of stuff to do. I happen to think the default (normal) difficulty is just about perfect. The .01% of players who feel they are "too good" can INCREASE THE DIFFICULTY. The 'factory' difficulty settings exist precisely for this reason. Complaining about default settings IN YOUR HOME is goofy.
Quoted from m00nmuppet:Yeah, this guy gets through everything his first try
I know about a guy who has beaten TNA 4+ times... and at least once on video!
