Licenses arent that expensive from my understanding. There are a BILLION toy story branded items. The difficult/expensive part is getting to use the video/voices of the actors. I cannot imagine Tom Hanks is inexpensive. His brother does the voice work for all of the video games (they sound just alike) Hopefully they can hire him to do all of the voice work and have access to the video assets.

I just hope the game does not suck. I am going to buy a CE because its a dream theme for me. If it sucks I will sell it. The cool thing about pinball is that you can not lose too much money (and sometimes make a buck) if you change your mind. This is especially true on good themes.

Quoted from NashtyFunk:

I'm sure most distributor allocations have been full for a pretty significant amount of time. There were probably a few outliers, but I know folks who have been on Toy Story CE lists for well over a year.

I have been on a list for about 3 years. Its a dream theme for me and the family. Hope it does not suck

Man I would be pissed if Forky was the CE. I hope the CE is just a different art package but not character specific. I am expecting a Slinky ramp, Claw Machine Lock, Buzz Ramp, and hopefully a solid Movie Asset package.

Quoted from PtownPin:

My guess is yes....thats what they did for WW and GNR, and they were both relatively cheap (Less than $300)

The topper was different for GNR, no extra speaker.

Eh, not every game needs to 100% appeal to 40-50 year old men. I showed the video and pictures to the kids and they loved it. I love IMDN and MET, MM, and GNR....they kids could give two shits about them. They like TMNT and Avengers...and having a large screen that tells you what to do is good for a novice player. I actually hate TZ its too cluttered for me. If the kids play it, I think its worth the money. Sure its more expensive than GNR etc but so is EVERYTHING....go buy gas, milk, cars, houses etc. Inflation is a bitch

Quoted from Beechwood:

Did you just compare inflation on everyday necessities to a $15,000 pinball game?
Wow... just wow.
You, sir, are the problem.

If lumber, electronics, Shipping and labor cost more....why in the wide blue Fk wouldn't toys cost more? What a bonehead comment. I guess I am the problem with the entire economy....printing Trillions of dollars has nothing to do with the dollar being weaker.

Quoted from RobbyIRL5:

Which has more “value”? This seems like a good thread to ask that question
[quoted image]

The bigger question is which one is more fun? WOZ did cost $6500 when it was new so it is likely a better value. Probably one of the most beautiful games out there, it did not stay in my lineup for more than a few years though.
