Quoted from delt31:

Prediction - toy story comes out and shoots really well but lacks magic/toys.
JJP 2.0 in full force
And that’s disappointing.
Anyone expecting more is going to be disappointed.

I don’t know, my guess is that they load it up but ask 12k+ for an LE

Hopefully the PF issues have been resolved, but they may still be bad. Some of you care, some do not. Go into your purchase at least knowing the risk.

And if you don't care about PFs that much - go for it. It should be loaded with mechs, have good code, and be an absolutely gorgeous pinball machine as all JJPs are.

Are people really looking forward to owning a game with a theme for 8 year olds or are they most excited at the prospect of flipping for profit?

Both apparently - I am in the first camp.

Joe!!
Quick question!
Will Any of these shirts give me a little more luck getting a CE?[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Aaaaand, this is why they will sell out

Also since its a Disney title did JJP work out a combo license deal to do another run of Pirates?
NO MORE PIRATES are scheduled to be run.

Pretty official post on the subject of pirates rerun or not.

You're buying at 18. Stop
I love the guys who say 2.5k more I'm out yet 15k I'm in . the truth is if you're crazy and buying a pinball machine at 12k or 15k, you're paying 18k too
Now I'm sure you're being truthful in theory but in reality you're buying it. Who's not buying is 97℅ of the world who thinks we're crazy.

The big issue is that JJP was MUCH better off having a Toy Story pin, and NOT the Toy Story 4 themed pin.

What people wanted was the original Toy Story music, character spotlights, - AND MODES. Sid bash toy anyone? The Claw (if not mechanical you know JJP could at least have a back glass video mode where you collected aliens from shots on the PF, a Pizza Planet upper playfield, escaping Sid's house, getting home from Pizza Planet, etc. etc. It would, and should, have been a slam dunk.

Honesty, this game is just Meh. It will sell OK because it's at least Toy Story themed. I bet that most people that like Toy Story didn't even watch Toy Story 4.

I can't think of anyone that would RATHER have Toy Story 4 instead of the original Toy Story! And the outrageous price tag is keeping what otherwise should be a great day for JJP into a dud.

I've always wanted to get a WOZLE or WOZRR. The more I see from todays JJP makes me think I should look there for a JJP and not here.

And don't get me started on the PF issues....if this game has that problem too God help them.

Quoted from metallik:

Assets are what separate an $8K dialed in from a $12K TS. You can shoot pinball shots and achieve pinball goals on both. Hell, I can achieve pinball goals on a $500 EM.

Or a whitewood

Quoted from iceman44:

Gas prices, food, new and used cars, Housing etc etc.
Maybe $15k is a bargain in this “new normal” we are living in. That’s what I’m telling myself

Maybe so...and remember that is for the CE. The 12K for an LE almost makes sense. (OMG, what the hell did I just say!)

Quoted from PinMonk:

Whoops, I was WAY off on the Toy Story 4 playfield screen. I assumed it would be 1920x1080 IPS (for good viewing angles) at about $35-40 in quantity. It's actually a $10 in quantity 1024x600 TFT panel.

Goes along with the heavy investment in the cake toppers. :/

Quoted from flynnibus:

The stupidity of a few does not set the price tolerance of the many

I think the issue is that people that buy pins at this price, especially the collector editions, are either flippers or people that have enough wealth that they could care less about the price. And the flippers sell to group 2 that didn’t bother or wasn’t able to get it direct.

The average joe that wants a new pinball machine is SOL if they need a ‘reasonable’ price.

That's what Thunderbirds and Spinal Tap are for.

Not a bad point, almost want to go to a car analogy here, but won’t

Quoted from badgerx23:

I want to be excited about it, don’t get me wrong. I just feel like it’s missing that world under glass feeling

Maybe that's why there is no standard version on this title. What is left to remove.

I guess you could take away another voice actor callout or two?

Quoted from Xelz:

What’s the over/under that JJP announces their next pin before end of 2022?

My guess is that you won’t see another JJP this year. Eric’s at the start of 23 and Steve’s in 24…

looks like a mojito to me…
