Quoted from PtownPin:

To each their own, but I wouldn't drive an EV if u gave it to me.....I'm big on gas guzzlers (I have a Landcruiser)....although seems like every other house has a Tesla around here.

Rivians are pretty impressive, like an EV Landcruiser, only way faster and better driving dynamics. Electric F150 Lightning is looking great too.

Drive what you want, back to talking about how bad JJP playfields are!!

They have been problematic, but didn't seem to affect the value of my Pirates games, or GnRCE, at least not below msrp on that one. If they come in with 1000 CEs at $15k, I'm not sure how it will go, but never bought pinball machines as an investment anyhow.

1000 LEs hasn't hurt Godzilla a bit. It all boils down to how good the game is.

To me, this isn't really a $15k game when you can buy a loaded CCrLE for $9200, or a GZPre. I love JJP, but man is this stripped down. Immediately found myself wishing it looked more like Roadshow with Buzz and Woody talking heads, or Funhouse if they want a carnival theme. I'm sure it will be fun, but couldn't bring myself to buy the one in my cart, or from the distro if I get the email. Especially as I loved the first three movies but the fourth not so much, except for Duke Kaboom. But congratulations to JJP for the response!

Quoted from manadams:

I personally know two people who had access to CE spots and backed out. I'm guessing if you're in tight with a distributor they will let you put the deposit to another game possibly. Not saying CE's won't eventually sell out just maybe not all above MSRP or even at MSRP.

Add me to that. This is the game I’ve been most excited about for a couple of years, on the CE list forever, and I canceled the one in my cart as well as the subsequent confirmed CE from my distributor. Apparently I was the 7th CE placeholder to cancel with this distro. Why did I bail? It isn’t the Toy Story universe I was hoping for, there are a surprising lack of toys in this game, and it is the most expensive JJP, with the least in it imo, to this point. Is the CE as packed as a $12,500 Lebowski, or a $9300 GZPre, or a $9200 CCrLe etc? Not for me, and I wish more people would do the same and pass, to help slow down the insane pricing for games with so little in them. Having said this, I’m sure it will be fun to play, just not to this price for me.

The last 3 JJPs are all sparse with mechs. I think it works well on GnR, but see no evidence that JJP is headed back to the old days at this point, unless the market doesn’t respond to the less is more approach.

Finally played the game at a local arcade with a buddy in Eugene, and it seems pretty easy. I had to let the first ball drain at 10M, because a private party arrived and they had to kick us out. So I still haven't played a full game!

Quoted from Noma2017:

Sounds like you are an expert or had a very lucky game. Line up 100 people and maybe one does what you did. Congrats though!

Probably just lucky. I try to set up games at home to be difficult, so on location it was perhaps not dialed.
