Really hoping this isn’t based on ts4 only. If it is, I’ll have to wait and see. You wouldn’t see a crane, Sid, Zurg, and so many classic scenes. Not that it can’t still be great, but that was the weakest of the movies imo, and I’ll be disappointed if it is. Guess we’ll see tomorrow. This is a major dream theme for me, but really just the first two movies. Can’t wait to see it.

If the development on this thing really goes back to 2015, then I can't see TS4 playing a major role. The movie was probably in development, but incorporating the upcoming movie into a new pinball machine doesn't seem super likely to me. Perhaps we get the TS4 characters incorporated, but an exclusively TS4 machine just doesn't add up. It would also give me extreme hesitation with a theme that is at the very top of my list.
Just got an email from Pinball Star, they already allocated some CE to previous CE buyers but they also say they will have more CE slots open tomorrow at reveal time
Also there is "plenty of LEs" so it looks like there are no SEs
Or the other way to see it is there are LEs and SEs but no CEs, it's all a matter of naming

I watched the same excitement over Rush.. i was like.. man I can't get the hype. But its a band, and there's a bunch of old dudes reliving their teenage years, trying to reunite on Facebook with that high school sweetheart. So I was like Rush isn't for me, but JJP on the other hand has... wait for it.. Toy Story. OMFnG. And someone said "major dream theme". Cmon peeps, pull your sh together and man up.

I would keep an eye on Pinside and see if anything game specific seems to be an issue. Or look the game over yourself and ask, "that looks like a wear item or something that will break over time."

We’re a bunch of middle aged dudes (mostly) with tens of thousands of dollars worth or arcade games.
None of us are really in a position to judge anyone else’s deemed themes or what they’re in to.

The hype train will slow waaay down if this is only ts4. I have a really difficult time believing it’s only ts4 though. I’m sure regardless the game will be beautiful, packed, cool and fun, but the main nostalgic story is what everybody wants, and this would take a hit if only ts4. We’ll see soon enough I guess.

Aside from rubbers I never had to buy any replacement parts for my 2 JJP games. I actually can't remember the last time I had to lift the playfields
