In case you were interested here is a comparison of the OG rocks and another seller's version. I guess if you want a copy of the original there's an option.

And I think they look great, thanks for sharing.

I don't think so. I'd say they look appropriate for the price.

They must be growing rice on those slopes.

I have an le with the original and my friend has an se, just got the mod couple
One. It’s pretty decent, but can definitely see the layers and they should have used a more matte filament or painted. They do a great job paying their mods surprised the rock formation did not appear to be

Sorry guys, we got distracted with the chest mod. Here is a very roughly printed prototype. We have a handful of changes to make to this for overall aesthetics and design but also fitment.

I wanted to make note. We use a 3D printing service to base on cost of printing these things on. We still print them ourselves but it gives a good baseline to know what kind of time and material will be involved. Well, this guy took around 20 hours to print at this quality and the cost to get it printed was somewhere around $120. That being said, this won't be a cheap mod. We are working on ways to reduce the printing needs so it will go faster and take less material. But since we've been working on this for a while I wanted to to give you a preview.

That's the plan! RGB LED lights which can change color and react based on ball movement.

....and which color? Black, white, silver?

Can you print just the skull that could be attached to the factory triangle??

We could look in to that. It would be much smaller and would take some work for us to build the profile of the original rocks in to the back of the skull. However, your request is our "happy to look in to it" Would you want the lighting integration or just the skull?

This will be my next Houdini mod!

Can't wait to finish this one. We keep getting sidetracked with other cool mods. I have it sitting next to my game waiting for some fitment issues.

Any updates on this??

#68 4 years ago

We've been talking about it. It's on the horizon, just don't have a ton of time to dedicate to it right now and I'm not sure the interest is there for the kind of time it will take to print and finish. We'll see how it goes over the next few weeks and if/when we can slot it in.

Is this still on the developing block?

Ha, in fact it is. Funny because I just brought it up with one of our designers. It actually worked out for us that it was delayed because we have developed some of our own electronics which will make the integration we wanted much more doable.

We're wrapping up design on some WoZ mods, doing some R&M and then I think this will happen and Wonka will be getting some next.
