I’m still having some reservations regarding Potc and am trying to come up with a plan B to roll my deposit over to.

What are your thoughts on POTC vs MMR?

    Dialed In

Game and theme do nothing for me. I tried to like it but found it extremely boring. Not a machine to buy when you decide to walk away from it mid ball.

Yikes, that's harsh. Hard to believe you can think it's that bad, wow.

    Simple.

Decide if you’d rather have a game where they took away the coin mech or a game where they took away the 3 spinning disc mech.

MMr. Great original theme, humor, toys, art, code by Lyman, music, epic callouts, fun shots. I should have listened to everyone and bought one earlier. Have you also considered AFMr LE?

Just didn’t work for me. Didn’t intend for it to be a harsh statement.

Yes boring for me but this post wasn’t about dialed in, someone else tossed in a random game.

I asked on an opinion of potc vs mmr.

MMR, it’s great. But they are so different. If you like TZ, you’d probably like POTC.

Why not buy an MMR now, enjoy it for six months or a year, then sell it and get a POTC or whatever game strikes your fancy at that point?

MMR gets my vote between the two.

MMR is a known entity, how many have played JJP POTC? I'd say enjoy an MMR now and wait until you've played POTC extensively. If you like JJP POTC better, MMR would be an easy sell. I've never played JJP POTC but it would have to be the best machine I'd ever played to dislodge MMR.

I also voted MMr. The entire package is pure fun. We LOVE ours.

Get MMR it's a proven winner and if you get bored of it in the future sell it and buy POTC.

I would get MMR today even though I prefer Pirates. Why? I'm tired of buying new games that go through minor hardware revisions during their first few production runs. The games we are talking about are now $8k-$9500, for that type of money I don't want to deal with fix kits and other early adopter issues. MMR's being made today are solid as they have been in production for a while. Pretty much every new game goes through at least some minor hardware revisions early on. This is one of the reasons I went with a new Dialed In today versus an early POTC. I would get a MMR today and then down the road decide if I want to keep it or sell it to get POTC.

I'd get an MMR for now. JJP will be making POTC for years to come.

Jeez, if you’ve never had an MM it’s pretty hard to say don’t get a MMR. It’s one of the best games ever.

Personally I would go for the AFMr because I prefer that game, but of the two you listed I would go with MMr for sure.

I'd go with an imamaculate Baywatch.
