I was up against this decision and went with MBRLE. Its a a blast to play and I have no regrets on that purchase. Having said that, I also plan to purchase a POTC LE. Though I have to agree with the OP, 10k is a tough pill to swallow and is the main reason I haven't yet pulled the trigger.

Everything is the same between the SE and LE (both the display and lighting are equal). The only differences are the topper, mirrored blades, shaker, powder coating, and plasma disk. For 7300, the SE is the whole game.
