Count me in for 1 LE too. this looks sweet
Allright then, some LE samples on the deck!
Looking for opinions here , so I can determine what is them is the most popular look , and Carry on from there.
Some I stained ebony once, some twice, and one is all black “ the blackbeard”
One is a lefthander.
Pricewise , 250,- euro’s for the LE kit.
The eagle one is cool, but weight is a problem.. a strong spring is needed to get that 550 grammes of metal moving.
Im undecided if I should make more, or get a 3D handle with metal fittings to bring it down . If anyone wants one, its 300,-. But I dont endorse that heavy a shooter to be honest .

These have to be the coolest shooter rods EVER!
Just blown away at how cool these are.
Would love to see them in action/used and get feedback from users.
Those are the most bad ass shooter rods ever, wow I’m digging the two just next to the green CE version, especially the one with the face and the ring on the end. Beautiful
Quoted from rs812:Most likely a redundant question, but were all 200 CE’s actually made?
No one on this forum can answer that question, but I can tell you that when I asked about getting more I was informed there were none available.
Quoted from RichieWrench:I placed my name on the list for sure......
What color powder coat are you going with?
Quoted from KingPinGames:No one on this forum can answer that question, but I can tell you that when I asked about getting more I was informed there were none available.
Based on the manufactuting dates and serial numbers, I think I could estimate how many of each version were made. At least based on the info available.
JJP POTC CE Topper
I am a huge fan of JJP machines and I cant see that changing because they make the good stuff. The topper noise was a big disappointment for me, and for the last three months I haven't been running it at all, but I have a pinball party at the house soon and I want to show it off. So, I spent some time looking at the issue and I managed a pretty good fix that I thought I would share. Its not perfect, but it worked for me when all the other solutions that I read here had no impact. Just as a side note I did call JJP tech support about this. While they were very polite, they provided no helpful information.
THE PROBLEM:
- It's not contact noise. Lift the back end of the ship off the cam and the noise is reduced. Put your finger on the cam and the noise comes back.
- It's not lubrication, however lubrication could help ever so slightly.
- IT IS the torque placed on the crappy, undersized, incorrectly supplied and incorrectly geared motor. The target torque and RPM were apparently not a part of the motor / gearing selection process. Additionally, the motor is just cheap and noisy. I will eventually will replace it with a good motor but for now the steps below help a lot.
THINGS YOU CAN DO TO HELP:
- This is all about reducing the torque placed on the motor at the target RPM.
- First, remove the black spring that clamps the ship to the cam. This was the single largest noise reduction step that I took. The spring isn't needed anyway, as gravity keeps the keel in place. I suppose it could become an issue if you run the motor fast.
- Second, loosen the screws on the rear set of waves. You don't need to loosen them much, just enough so that the nylon bearings are not tightly clamped to the wave plastic. This was the second largest impact on noise reduction.
- Third. You can add some lubricant that is nylon / plastic safe if you like. I did, but I'm not 100 percent positive that it helped. It might have been wishful thinking.
I hope this helps someone. There is still noise, but at volume 18 it is masked pretty well.
Quoted from rs812:When u do replace the motor, please share which one you use
I absolutely will. It might be a few weeks before I get too it, or i could get to it tomorrow....
Oh man I keep thinking about getting a spare playfield for the same reason...this game is bolted to the floor for me.

Would be fun trying to explain them to customs

Out of the 20 shipped, none have been clamped down yet!
But I fill in the contents on my UPS account before shipping. Makes all the difference

I'm interested in one of these, but can you explain how the plunger works afterwards and how easy these are to install?
Ofcourse, I wish I could make a small video to upload how it operaties.
Basically, its just a big pistol shsped shooter rod, that you pull back. Nothing more nothing less. But it hugs over the outer spring so it looks more solidly connected to the cab.
Im sure now they are arriving at homes, someone will review it or post a pic/video

I'm sure they will be fine , as everyone else has said excellent job
Anyone know when more CEs will be made? I have one paid for, but still waiting on it for awhile now.

I think that LE's are available as a production run but according to IPDB the CE model is advertised as having a limited production run of 200 units, which is now completed though there are a couple still about globally.
Have you been told what your number is?
I haven't participated in this thread, I don't have a CE but I noticed two differences in the early photos compared to what I have. There are two spotlights on the left sling now, a good change IMHO. But I noticed that the chest is closed in the CE in the early photos. Does the chest animate (something I have definitely thought should happen) or was it always closed?

It was originally designed to open and close between ball locks, but was changed for production.

No 3 wheel spinning disk either.
I just unboxed a SE yesterday.
Looking at the 3 inch disk.
Jack/Eric.....i'm at a loss for words.

Loss.
If you play it you’ll forget about the disk.

The disc acts like a disc, throws the balls good. The three thinner discs didn't have enough surface to effect the ball much.
LTG : )

Aw.. that would definitely have been cool.

I agree Lloyd, and it was loud and clunky.
I worked on a prototype and was on the phone with Eric discussing it. I tried, i had a few suggestions, but ship had sailed. It just wasn't going to work right as thought out and designed. My idea was expensive, and did need new playfields which JJP did anyway.
I almost would have had no spinning disk at all and more inserts.
Made me talk. Told you, I was lost for words.
oh yeah!! so cool to see it on another CE! thanks Ryan for posting this
I have sent 17 out into the wild so far , and stocking five more currently. I was aiming for 25-30 total to keep it limited
If anyone else is interested in one fast for CE , lt me know , the last run will be done in June .
Geert
Hi All, POTC CE is now enabled on Pinside at https://pinside.com/pinball/machine/pirates-of-the-caribbean-ce (standard and LE were the only options before today).
"Those who engage in acts of piracy are called pirates"
Number 30
Hi CE owners, do you know of any left anywhere? I've got a Standard coming, but the CE is incredible.
Quoted from dts:Hi CE owners, do you know of any left anywhere? I've got a Standard coming, but the CE is incredible.
I'm regretting not ordering a CE to.

Aftermarket radcals help ease the CE envy!
Quoted from rs812:Needless to say, JJP POTC-CE is an absolute lifetime keeper for me. So, i got crazy and ordered an extra CE Playfield while they were still available

JJP had them listed on their web store for awhile. Looks like they are no longer listed.
