Have not seen anything yet. The problem as was stated is that the cpu takes up so much room, the height of the speakers is greatly limited. Like others, I ended up with an external set of speakers.

Little darker green/brown like the powdercoat . Left side is still original

Wow great job . I don't want to bag The Originals but what you've done they look a lot more suited to machine , excellent !
Retraction spring broke on the left flipper last night during gameplay... I simply extended the spring slightly to recoil it around the opening, is that an okay fix or should I complain to JJP to get a completely new spring? Never had one break before but I suppose it's inevitable although you'd think on a brand new game it'd hold up longer than that... Also started having trouble with the treasure chest ball fork not wanting to retract as well but before I contact JJP about that, I'm going to test it a bit more. The problem is the little coil that hits against the plate to retract the fork coil isn't hitting the plate hard enough to get it to "pop" back...
Game is still super fun but I'm a little disappointed with all of the little issues I've had to deal with on such an expensive game... Such is life I suppose...

It's just a .10 cent spring. Your fix should be fine as long as you stretched it slightly to compensate for the reduced length strength. This minor issue is not special to JJP its a very common thing that can happen with ANY pinball machine. Make sure the hole the spring goes through doesn't have a burr and put a new one in some day when you order from PinballLife.

yeah, some people in the pinball community can be hostile. Honestly, id just ignore them.
Funny thing is that my right spring broke as well. I had one on hand, and no big deal. That being said my 6 other games that have been in place for some time have had zero spring issues. So..just have some extras on hand for the future.

JJP is sending me some extras and my in place fix is holding up fine as well. Very happy with the JJP response to everything including here on Pinside with the chest fork issues I was having (now corrected).

Broken pawl spring. He fixed it correctly and they are replacing them for future repair.

I contacted JJP to order one. While most manuals are really not needed for modern games with everything accessible online electronically this manual is more of a complete Story of the creation of POTC with Many really great images and information. Worth the buy if not included in your game in my opinion. They were standard with CE systems not certain on others but worth it in my view.

i don't know if JJP ordered too many extras. i would start by contacting your distributor and see if they ordered any. If they are like the other manuals, then they will be $100 each.

Showing off my “Davy Jones “ shooter kit
I got good response on the mod , and finished off my first batch for the CE’s this week. They’ll be limited anyway due to the 200 production, but I’m collecting orders again to see if I can get a decent second run!
CE kit is 300,- euro’s 2 parts, one shooter, one inner gun barrel
Shooter, Existing pistol modified and hand sculpted/ painted. Coated with 2pack soft touch rubber clear .
Barrel, metal cast mounted on wood base
Interested, just pop me a Pm .

Or possibly an ivory handle I’ve worked on, but being an all metal donor pistol I might need to get that 3D printed . Its quite heavy.
