If you are playing a lot that's pretty common for a wireform drop down spot. A switch cliffy will prevent if it's a concern.
Quoted from Leachdude:I've had sterns with 2000+ plays that did not look like this.
All depends where the wireform drops the ball on the switch slot. Tz is known for wear like this bc it drops it im a similar spot at woz.
Quoted from jrio101:Woz 75th after 2 months huo.
Definitely need a switch slot cliffy. I use them on any pin that drops the ball in a similar spot bc it always causes damage.
Mine started after 400 plays. Took the playfield down to clean, wax, install some triton rubber and the red witch mod. Ordered some 3/4" Mylar squares from triton and put one down next to the factory Mylar under the wire drop. Then just trim with an exacto blade. They did not get the factory Mylar downfield enough. Also put Mylar at the magnets, out hole and where the balls roll off of the castle playfield.
