Thank you for the link LTG Generally speaking what are the best/most popular mods on this game? Chest mod looks to be a good start.

Busy dialing this in but when that's done we'll be ready for mods. Cheers.

Quoted from Oneangrymo:

Hey guys my black pearl is going nuts since I just updated to 0.99. It goes really fast, then slows down, then speeds up again. Is this normal behavior? Am I missing something?

Normal behaviour I believe. Mine does the same.

Quoted from RobbyIRL5:

So initially the deflector was loose, and I thought I fixed it. Then noticed I did for most, the ball was now mostly going to the left flipper vs the right and down the drain. Just had a drain in my high score game from the tartuga vuk on the last ball, thought I was going to put my fist through the glass.
Screws are tight with as much left angle On the deflector as possible. Interestingly, there is hardly (If any) a difference when I adjust the coil strength. Possible the assembly beneath the playfield could be loose, or maybe a coil (or sleeve) issue?
What should the expected behavior be? The same (Or close) every time? Left flipper? Or is it supposed to be dangerous and drain one out of three?
Thank you!

I've had similar issues. I found the deflector loose, so I tightened it up. Since then I get drains straight down the middle. How much play is there with this deflector? When it was loose it would send the ball (albeit at high speed) to the left flipper. Now it won't.

A question for those who have the disc silencer installed. The Mod Couple instructions suggested that the new rubber gear was an 'optional' upgrade. Out of curiosity how much of a difference does this piece make? I've installed the kit but not the new gear (yet).

I've noticed that my existing gear does not have any grub screws installed - it is simply wedged over the top of the motor shaft. The instruction manual suggests there should be two screws holding it in place. Anybody else had that?

#15292 3 years ago

100% my factory gear didn't have any grub screws. Surprisingly the factory gear simply prised off. Seems there's been a few 'factory anomalies' on my game. Upper left flipper had the wrong coil sleeve in it too.

Yes the rubber gear is included in the kit but the instructions suggest that it used to perhaps be an add-on? Was just curious as to how much this new gear quietens things down.

Quoted from EaglePin:

Does anyone have issues with flipper weakness after playing for awhile? I’ve always noticed it but I don’t think anyone’s mentioned it here before. After playing for over an hour (and after running a lot of multiballs) my flippers start to weaken, especially the lower right. Just curious if anyone else notices it on their machine.

I had this problem on my game after about 50 plays. Upper left flipper got really sluggish. Upon inspection I found the coil sleeve was too short and it was also cracked at the top. I replaced it with the correct one from the manual, plus a new plunger. It's been solid ever since.

Quoted from Butch2099:

How long should it take and is there a "Best" video or instructions to follow? I should have the latest version as it was just bought.

Clear your schedule for a day (no really). Takes time to get it right. There's a lot of information in this thread:

You tube videos are helpful but the above thread also helped me to get mine right. It's totally worth it!
