In on an Le. This game is what SW should have been. Well done Eric, and I can't wait for shipping.

Quoted from Vdrums:Great point about the scratch off motion for the lottery. I don't know why POTC doesn't use that feature to grab gold.
That would have been way cooler. Just use the button for everything else. Great idea.
Quoted from Asael:After the last few Hobbit Updates JJP convinced me that they are dedicaded to bring the best out of every game they built. So I sold my Metallica LE and ordered a PotC . For me the Metallica is one of the best games ever, but after the years I played it less and less. But it was a very hard decision. The Met was part of my living room for many years.
I like the whole pirate theme and PotC looks like a lot fun. I am hoping I did the right thing joining this club here.
Tough decision for sure. I'm considering selling my Metallica and or acdc for a potc. Definitely tough to let either go.
Quoted from twista22:Just got mine unboxed and setup and I am having a problem plunging the ball. The washer on the plunger keeps hitting the autofire plunger piece and the ball barley goes up the ramp on the plunge. Any suggestions or any fixes for it?
[quoted image][quoted image]
I'd start by getting the bubble in the level correctly. Then look and see if the auto plunger can be adjusted back some. Can you post an updated picture of adjusted plunger at this point?
Quoted from Hogbog:PM me exactly whats going on. I'll help you personally.
You can't find any better service than this. Honestly vivid, I feel for you, but this should be a great learning opportunity for you to learn some basic repair skills. I've learned that if I'm going to own pinball machines, I better learn basic repair skills. It's scary at first, but it's really not bad after a few attempts. I applaud Eric and Lloyd for efforts in helping above and beyond.
Quoted from Hazoff:Thats crap, I just played POTC and its was boring as hell compared to IrMaiden. Jam packed doesn't equal greatness. Oh yeah
That's funny. I played IM and got bored. I don't own a potc, but it definitely appeal's more to me. Each to their own though. Bye Felicia!
Quoted from Hazoff:I could see that and ur right to each is own. What I hate is when JJP fanboys bash Stern, not going to get away with it while I'm around.
I actually love my Stern's. Not bashing, but seriously why make a comment about jjp games like you did? If you don't like the game, keep out of a potc thread. Doesn't make sense. Keyboard warriors I guess. Go back to the IM thread and brag it up.

Quoted from Psw757:The lockdown button is definitely a problem, they need to do better here.
My hobbit button works great. I wonder if they switched brands. A button should be the last of any problems. So odd.
Man, what is going on with this machine? I'm anxious to get one of these but I have to wait for jjp to iron out all these issues. I haven't had nearly this many issues on my first two jjp games. Did they change a process in QC or what? So many basic problems like broken wires, solder not holding, lights not installed correctly etc. Come on jjp, fix this. I feel bad for all you guys dealing with these issues on such an expensive machine. I'm a huge jjp fan, but this just seems out of control.
Quoted from ZMeny:SDTM Unboxing/Rum Run: JJP Pirates of the Caribbean
SDTM Zach does a Rum Run on JJP’s newest pinball machine. Yarrr!!
Good video. Early thoughts??
A collector I know taught me to use clear finger nail polish hardener around those edges to keep from chipping. My games haven't had any issues since, and it's invisible. It will help prevent any further damage until you can get cliffys. I owe my wife a bottle of polish, but haven't told her.
Quoted from screaminr:Have they changed their process or products ,had a woz with over 1300 games and a Hobbit with a few hundred and no chipping
I doubt anything has changed. My woz had shown slight wear on the wizard kickout and that's when I put the polish hardener on it. No more wear. There is no scenario where a steel ball constantly hitting wood/clear coat that the play field wins that battle. Cliffy it and never worry about it again. Until cliffys are available though, I would put a thin layer of hardener over the edge.
After the DI play field issues leading to lawlor making his own version of cliffys, it just seems like every future jjp title should have protectors in every hole day one. These are primarily high end home use games purchased by collectors that want to keep games in top condition. Jjp, make cliffys standard. Heck, contract out cliffy if need be, but protect all typical wear spots please. At the very least, give cliffy a play field to use for design on each release so they're ready to ship cliffys day one.
Quoted from darkryder:Yep, just replace the map decal when it wears out. No big deal
[quoted image]
How many plays did you have already that it wore out? Pics of old worn out disc?
I've had several guys pm me about my suggestion of using a clear base nail polish on the edges of vuk, kickouts, ball trough drop etc. Here are a couple pics of my woz and hobbit. The polish hardener stopped any further damage from happening after I applied it. I applied two thin coats around all edges that the ball contacts. It is completely invisible, and you can't see it at all unless you have really, really look for it. Nobody can see it. It's just a suggestion at least until you can get cliffys. Mine has been on for over a year now with no further wear. You can see where my hobbit started, and this has stopped any further wear. It's also thin enough not to effect any ball travel. If I had a potc right now, I would definitely apply some on my own machine. Just a thought. Hope this helps anybody that was asking.

After my wait since last March (yes, I know some have waited much longer), my LE #63 with RADCALS finally made it's port of call in Oregon. Congrats to Eric and the JJP team for a great game; hopefully, it will be as trouble free as my other JJP pins. I am so glad I turned down an earlier copy and held out for one with the RADCALS; They are absolutely gorgeous. You may not like them or think they are not worth it but, you'd be wrong. My distributor was blown away when he saw them on a POTC; mine was the first LE that he has seen with them. He will certainly see more when the CE's roll in but I suspect he will get an LE for himself with, you guessed it, RADCALS.
Happy Holidays to all!

Radcals or not, that is a stunning lineup. Jjp makes beautiful games.
The play field art looks great imo. There's no way you could have a potc movie based game and not have Jack frickin sparrow on it. Get real. He IS the main character. Nobody has to like Depp, but sparrow is a must on this game, and I think the play field looks like it should.
Owners thoughts so far? Curious about code in regards to the level of excitement, adrenaline rush this game has, and is it easy to understand.
Curious if potc has an intense battle or moments like woz and hobbit melting the witch, or killing smaug? What is the main objective in potc?
What are the LE games going for now! I'm interested in getting one if reasonable, but I do think next year Jack will be running more.
I'm guessing they run a few hundred more next year. However, if they don't, how likely is getting replacement parts going to factor into long term issues? That's my main concern is that I'm not confident that they maintain parts long term. Thoughts on this?
Quoted from GamerRick:I was told they were going to keep stocking parts they had just run out of parts. I was initially worried about this as well but Shannon told me they were going to restock.
Hopefully so. It was always a concern owning jjp games, but especially with potc and the low amount of Machines. I do hope a re-run is done, but if not, I'll be looking for a huo LE but not at crazy high pricing.
My jjp games have been very reliable. Find a distributor and buy one. That said, I know nobody wants to sell their potc, but if anyone in the Midwest decides to move on, let me know. Wonka didn't quite pull me in, so waiting on GNR and toystory, but still would look at a potc. My only fear with potc was the continuation of parts supplies.
Quoted from bgwilly31:Automated Services/Pinball And games. I only bought from them because they had the last potc CE on US soil NIB. Purchasing experience was fine. But yeah nothing after.
I got the same response from Mike at automated with my hobbit issues. Just said to contact jjp. I bought a woz and hobbit from automated but won’t buy anymore from them. He told me my hobbit had all factory fixes and it did not. I verified a couple times and when it arrived it didn’t and then told me to contact jjp for the kit. Was not happy.
