25 games in and its off with the black pearl chasing switch faults at least its 25 plays more than I had with Dialled In before pulling it apart I guess
EOS and standup targets,I have fixed a few customers machines in the past with similar problems, probably a wire fallen off, things are pretty tight under there on the early production games
Quoted from PinPeet:Tech question.
I have these switch errors on the Pearl. Doesn’t look good, think I have to remove the pearl. Any first ideas?
Thanks

Just had to remove mine for the same issue, broken wire, while your under there check the wires for the EOS they are pretty tight too and can break off
Quoted from harryhoudini:Where dat from?
7 inch neca toy that you need to modify to fit,I tried playing around with bootstrap bill but because he has arm joints it makes it difficult to get him to look good,he turns out looking like a scarecrow
Yelobirds post #2473 in this thread
But its pretty self explanitory once you get Tom off
Might try the hammer head shark dude next if I can find a cheap one,toy collectors have a fit when you tell them what your going to do with it
Quoted from harryhoudini:Yup. That's why I was asking if it might be worth loosening the tension on it a bit. Maybe a bit less mesh might help with gear on gear friction. Or maybe a lower viscosity lubricant?
I'm gonna try some things. First, put the glass back on and direct compare... Need a good baseline.
I have fitted 2 of these kits now to different games and both times I had to play around with the gear backlash to quieten it down
Quoted from PinMonk:Since you're plugged into a circuit board to get power, and the heatsink is metal, I would suggest at least putting a 1A fast blow inline fuse on the power lead with this setup. If the heatsink metal breaches the wrapper of the coil and the windings below, it likely would create a short and blow out the board it's getting the power from. The fuse won't guarantee protection for the board, but it should limit damage if a short happens. And, with the shaker motor movement and flipper vibrations over time, this is not an impossible scenario.
The scenario your suggesting is not possible,if the heatsink does rub through to the coil windings it may blow a flipper fuse, the 5v being used to power the fan will not be effected as its isolated because the fan is plastic, its physically not possible to damage the 5v circuit
