Yeah, he numbers the ones that are legitimate limited runs vs the ones he makes until no more orders come in. He could easily sell more HMS mods, but he chose to move onto new projects instead. I don't think it adds any extra value, but it is still kinda cool.
Quoted from PinMonk:You could hook it to an ardiuno and program it to shift from sea blue to green and change intensity to simulate the ocean. That would look pretty great.
I like that idea, might have to steal it. WW CE came with red under glow, and I bought my Hobbit from someone that added yellow underglow. I wanted to add something to POTC at some point and I really like that idea.
Quoted from darkryder:Are spare playfields for POTC available or are they now unobtainium? I was able to buy the last complete set of RadCals for my POTCLE a few weeks ago, but JJP said they no longer have any playfields available. Shoot me a PM if you have a lead or one for sale
I believe they are doing another run of them at least to cover folks who should be getting replacements under warranty. As for the rest of us, I would buy another too just to clean up the really bad dimpling mine has. Hopefully they make enough extra's to go around. With any luck they will also lower the price to match every other playfield they sell. I have no idea why the POTC playfield costs over double every other playfield they sell.
That's not crazy money, its a minor premium over the outrageous price that JJP is asking.
I was going to link JJP's own $999 playfield listing here, but it seems that they have removed it during their parts site cleanup. To the wayback machine!!!
Can anyone explain the BP cannon shot to me? I'm trying to understand if the BP is always in the same position when shooting, or if it's actively moving back and forth during the shooting. I'm currently working on some possible alterations that I am detailing on FB and need to better understand how/when the ball will get launched. When testing it manually I need to set the BP in one of its 3 default positions and I only seem to be able to make the shot in 1 of those 3 positions. I need to understand what happens during actual gameplay. Thanks!
Quoted from palmab03:Mine moves, and I need to time the shot to be in the middle of it's range to successfully hit the shot.
Quoted from Green-Machine:As soon as the ship tilts down to the left fire.. I hit the hole everytime. Not fully sure what your are referring to
Thank you both for confirming that the ship is moving during the cannon shot. That's exactly what I needed to make sure of. Appreciate it!
